F80 or F82 colors

I’m looking into getting a 2018-2020 M3 or M4 but I’m big on colors, I have a black car right now and I love it but I do get super bored of the color. Where are the best places to find used M cars in individual Colors? There are so many beautiful individual colors but everytime I look on apps for used cars they are all pretty basic colors with the exception of some.

Not sure there's really any place to find individual colors specifically, you'll just have to spend the time going through autotrader/cars.com etc. You are right though, there are so many beautiful individual ///M colors. I still see some colors every now and then on this site which I didn't even know existed.

Finding individual colored cars is a tedious task and when you see one you like its best to swoop it up ASAP. I'm a big fan of Yas marina hence why I have one but I would do alot for Signal green with its green stitching but I love what I have. You could try going in the classified for sale section and post a WTB individual colored specs F8xs and see what you get. If you really want a rare esque color you cannot be too picky or you way be waiting forever. I also recommend instagram user M3List He posts F80s all the time and I've seen maybe a new individual colored F80 posted there once a week or so.

On BMWUSA in used search if you select Other for exterior color many of the results are individual colors. You would think they would provide a better way to search. Its one thing for a 3rd party car site to make things generic, but why can't BMWs site list actual color names instead of generic red, blue, etc

You can always wrap the car in color PPF.

1. Browse sales ads often
2. Act fast
3. Be willing to travel

For example when I was buying my car, I wanted a non-metallic grey F80. My top choices were:
- Grigio
- Fashion grey
- Nardo grey

If you look up the production numbers those 3 colors total approximately 350 units out of ~35 000 total production. So basically 1% of all F80s produced. Fortunately, I got lucky. A fashion grey went on sale in the province next to mine (Canadian here). I was lucky to see the ad as soon as they posted and immediately called the dealer and made a deal.

Depending on what individual colors you are looking for this could be easier or harder. Unfortunately it'll take a bit of luck as individual colors are just rarer. Hope you manage to find one you like. Good luck!

Two completely different cars. Same on paper and they're completely different in the real world.
Ask anyone who has driven both. The F80 is softer with chassis flex. It's a saloon.
You need to decide which one you want first and go from there.

I’ve never heard this. They are the same. F80 maybe slightly higher torsional rigidity and slightly less drag, if I remember the original specs and engineer comments right. But not something that even a good driver would ever notice.

I noticed a big difference. Performance wise, they are not different. I'm speaking of suspension.

The sedan will have a higher torsional rigidity, and even higher if no fold down rear seats.

It will have a higher drag, not lower than the M4. The M4 is lower and has to punch a smaller hole in the air.
