Why not just spend the extra $1k and gain all the added features the Awron brings though?

This is essentially $500 to save spending 5 min under the car unplugging the valves.

Because many, like me, are only after the exhaust valve control and CEL delete.

Ah. Didn't realize it also managed DP CEL. Makes more sense now.

Seems pretty awesome. Definitely seems like a better investment than the Akra delete R at that price point. Downpipes here I come.

No doubt. Akra R delete same price and with this you also get the valve control, no brainer. Get those DPs asap I want to hear your MPE with DPs. Man the downshift blips with valves open are AMAZING.

So do you have to be at a stop to activate valve open/closed or can they be activated while driving?

not at all. Works on the fly or at a stop. So if your driving valves open and see a cop click the button and bam valve closed.

you can see in the video I am constantly opening and closing the valves as I drive or at stop. Various speeds doesn't matter

You have 3 settings you set the module up with. You can set it to default OPEN, Closed, or OEM. I set mine to always start with valves closed. Some may opt to always start the car with valves open. ITs one of the options you get

Great mod Jim! I miss the valve control remote ipe had on my e92 and since this came out i'd probably get one too. I also noticed that in OEM settings, valves are always closed at low rpms i guess BMW thought this car was too loud when valves fully open lol.

GOLFFRR,

How does one manage the CEL with this? Is it also done via signal? Does it remove all CEL or just the DP CEL?

Thanks

Having the option to control the valves to be open or closed at anytime and the activation is all built into the turn signal (no keychains etc..) makes a world of difference IMO. And sometimes ill drive around in OEM mode in all the various settings and yes the valves never stay open all the time in sport or sport + in my experience. They seem to go open and closed a lot. Also I really like the efficient setting on the throttle bc I do a lot of in town driving so with that I can open the valves and get the best of both worlds

IPE on the e9xM were INSANE!! I still can remember the first time I heard one in person on the road

that is a good question, one question that I would not be able to answer for you I apologize. Best to ask Tom@EAS on how that sorta of stuff works. Just know I have had no cell what so ever and I have driven my car a ton this weekend. I just love the sound so much now.
