4.5 mm left on tires, replace before track day?

To all, I need to post this here because nobody tracks their X6, I do. I have 4.5 mm left on my Dunlop Dsst tires, 20” staggered setup, I will only be able to track one time this year in about three weeks at Brainerd MN. My thought is do the track day, burn them up, then replace. Theses tires have two track days on them and about 14 - 15k miles on them total. Is 4.5 mm not enough tread for one more track day?

I am just about to order my first M4, I will be in Munich in April of 2019, my first ED. I can’t wait to track an M4.

Thank you for you assistance.

That's enough for one track day.

That's about 6/32nd inches, more than enough. They have more life than you used. Have fun!

My first track day was Road America, I told them what I was bringing, they didn’t say no, when I showed up they weren’t all that happy, they told me I had to “be careful”. I have Dymanic Handling and 20” meats for tires. I drove home. Brainerd International Raceway welcomes me with opened arms. My biggest bitch is my own BMW Car Club excludes X6’s from club events, how ignorant.
No worries, this is my last track day with the X6, I will pick up my M4 in Munich in April. Can’t wait to track that!!
