Old man yells at Cloud. (Retailers)

Is it too much to ask to update y'alls website from time to time and not confuse/get consumers hopes up with inventory?

IND- Just found out you updated your website to show SOLD OUT products. For those not in the know, it used to let you click the product without this information to then show that its unavailable where the add to cart button was.

Ok whats the benefit of keeping this product here? Car parts aren't hypebeast products like Supreme and the like to generate a low quantity, mass hype marketing tactic to garner more sales and interest. Face it, it isn't.

If it's SOLD OUT, I dunno maybe take it off the website?

This is minor compared to my next rant.

All other retailers that do this:

Having a website sell a product letting the consumer add to cart knowing damn well you don't have it in inventory.

https://jb4store.com/collections/bmw...6-exhaust-tips

Yes..... clearly JB4 store.com isn't the BMW enthusiast hotspot to pick up online parts and inventory but why would you let an unknowing consumer add to cart and damn near purchase an item when it's out of stock?

I know this cause they are selling a Burger Tuning exhaust tip in a finish that for sure isn't available. On the BMS website it shows this unavailability, yet on JB4 store.com, you can buy it

I've contacted Burger themselves to confirm the sold out nature of this product.

Just to double check this and satisfy my curiosity, I email them to make sure this item is in stock and able to purchase it right? Cause you know, it says add to cart, and you will take me all the way to entering my CC details and give you money.

Tell me why you do this?

You're not as bad as ECS tuning sure.......

This will get moved to Vendor comments.. but im posting it here first

Why remove it from the site? What if I want to know the price? This will affect their SEO and people that might be searching for the out of stock product might still purchase another one.

And what if said product is unavailable and will likely not be produced again? What's the benefit here? Google will help you find the price of that product with ease.

I search a specific product, ready to buy
Find it on IND cause of the great SEO results
Can't buy, it's sold out
But I knew how much it cost.
I leave not purchasing anything.

Your logic of benefit is internet traffic with no sales conversion

To be perfectly fair -- from someone in the SEO world, that's a pretty weak argument. The OP is the core audience for that page. I'd rather this was solved at the algorithm level and discounting pages that have been out of stock for a long time.
