Dyno tune vs Bootmod3
2015 37k DCT ///M4
Please advise what would be my better choice between a dyno tune or buying the Bootmod3? On my old 135i it came with a JB4 however it didn’t allow comfort access to work & a few other things that I can’t remember as I am typing. I ditched the JB4 and got a custom dyno tune from BPC in Raleigh and I felt like I got my car back. Does Bootmod3 inferrer with the car or is it just a tune. Dern I wish I could think of some examples on my 135i that I experienced. (Sorry). My gut says get a Dyno tune but it looks like there are some serious believers in Bootmod3. If I choose dyno tune I will have the facts w/ the dyno results. $650 Then I would have to pay for the GTS flash. Possibly $100 If I choose Bootmod3 I will get a tune plus the GTS flash. I would then have to go have my car dynoed to get the facts. Possibly $100 for dyno Please share your thoughts. Thank you, b |

Bm3 is just a DME flash which is way better than a JB4. For what you get go ahead with BM3 stage 1 if you're not planning to go for crazy amounts of power. The amount of potential you have with this is way more worth it than the dyno tune like the GTS DCT flash + all the other features.

With bootmod3 you also have the option of getting a custom tune for max power.

Most people don't need a custom tune, Bootmod3 Stage1/Stage 2 tunes are fully compatible for those running pump fuel/stock turbos.
As build get a bit more complicated, then you should seek custom tuning. The Bootmod3 platform is fantastic for multiple tuners to offer files which fit your specific build while on the dyno to get max power delivered safely.

As long as you have the agent device/ENET cable, you can use an iPhone to flash/switch maps.
