2018 M3 CS Lease 4200 Refundable Sec Dep 3k down 599/month

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
EDIT 7/10- LEASE TRANSFER COMPLETED

I am with much hesitation putting my 2018 M3 CS Lease up for transfer or sale (give that this is the nicest car I have ever personally driven). I don't drive it enough for me to justify keeping it, and it has a ton of miles left that I will never get to use to it's full potential. I would need the $4200 security deposit (which is completely refundable at the end of the lease) plus an additional $3k down (I put almost twice this down given the low payment). Serious inquiries only, I am not desperate to move the car and will keep it if there is not a significant interest.

Currently monthly payment in $599 (state of PA is $617 a month including road tax). You will also be responsible for the lease transfer fee. Next payment is due JULY 14, 2020.

I also have a set of Blizzak snow tires on BBS rims for $1000- these have less than 2k miles on them. You can choose whether or not you want these.

Sticker
$101,845

Lease payoff (would need to add the down payment of 3k to me)
$71,420.23

Months left counting May would be 14 months of driving, depending how quick the transfer goes through.

Mileage is currently around 7068. Allowed 25,030 miles. Approx 1,283 miles a month are left if you assume 14 months by the time you get the car.

Residual is $65,180.80.

Contract End Date
Aug 14, 2021

Total Miles Allowed
25,030

Pristine Condition inside and out, and has never been tracked or modified in any way. I am the second owner as someone else transferred their car to me just two months into their lease, it was brand new and all break in procedures were followed.

EDIT 7/10- LEASE TRANSFER COMPLETED

So you want $7k down for a 14 month lease. Call it what it is 617 +500

4200 you get back so works out to 830 with the down payment plus tax if applicable in some states.

The $4200 is MSD- refundable to you at the end of the lease. So the math is closer to a bit above $800 a month. Considering the mileage left on it and condition of the car, I still think it's a really good deal.

Haha thanks Not a very common design in the northeast so we get a lot of "comments" on it. The house is probably more fit to be in CA or FL.

Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like it's only temporary until 4/13, at least for now. If anyone's interested we can keep the process moving since people usually have questions or want to see more pics or the car in person etc.

Hopefully we would be able to proceed once the open the process back up.

Looks like BMW lease transfers got paused/pushed back another week until 4/20. Will update when I hear it's opened back up.

Doesn't really help people in states where DMVs are closed. Either way I would think you wouldn't have a hard time moving this.

I think Cali and NYC are still closed. BMWFS said they can start the lease transfer process now, which will take about three weeks. They can complete the entire process, and the DMV is only needed at the very last step. I imagine the DMVs should be open at that time.

Regardless, after the transfer is complete, the transferee would have a power of attorney and would have 30 days to complete the paperwork/registration.

Maryland MVA and Pennsylvania closed as well. But who knows what three weeks from now will hold, I imagine some of them will open up in limited capacity but it maybe an issue getting the title prior to that.

My understanding is that since BMW owns the car the title is not changing hands. For a lease transfer they shouldn't have to involve the DMV for the title at all. At least according to the BMWFS rep that I spoke with.

Yeah the name on the title doesn't change but whomever assumes the leaSe still has to register it and that requires the title

+1. Title has to be transferred. I've down this before.
