2015 M4 Apple CarPlay?
Hi Guys, is there anyway that I can get apple CarPlay for my 2015 M4? I bought the wireless antenna and it shows the wireless option but it’s grey out.
Any help appreciated. |

I've been running one for 8 mths in my F82, and had one for over two years in my E90 M3 before that. Works great. |

Agreed. You can get an external MMI unit that has CarPlay and Android Auto. Fairly simple retrofit. Also gives the benefit of adding front and rear cameras if so inclined.

If OP means just firmware upgrade (plus antenna) then no, his car isn't eligible unless it's produced after the date listed above. If he means just in general then yes, you are correct. |

The OP asked if there was any way he could get CarPlay in his car, so no, suggesting that the only way was to replace the whole factory system and display is objectively not true.

Is there any quality of sound difference? Which kit did you go with if you don't mind? I have a 2014 build and am just concerned with a possible change in sound since I'm already lacking with the HiFi system. Thanks! |

Whole huge thread on it here
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1675929 No coding needed I’ve been rocking one for a while now and I also have front/rear cams along with a full sub/amp/dsp system. |

Yep no coding, audio quality for music streaming is excellent, though I do tend to use the factory Bluetooth for calls..
I honestly can’t remember which one I got, but as above there is an excellent thread about them. |

I went with the full iDrive replacement. Its the most expensive option but well worth it in my opinion. Here's my review on it:
