Where does the flushed water go?
Sorry for all the newb questions.. but my car doesnt arrive until Sunday.
I like to keep an immaculate garage. Its not easy, especially in a humid place like Houston, TX. My understanding is that the water injection system flushes out latent water in the loop at shut down. Where does it end up? Am i going to be finding puddles of water under my car every time I park it after driving hard? I want to know if I can place a catch pan. Also, since I plan to keep it on a lift above another car, I don't really want it dumping water all over a surgical clean car. |

It empties the lines back into the tank. The overly complicated valve block probably contributes to the high failure rate. I assume the pump is a positive displacement pump, and they just feed it air to clear out the line to the engine. I have not looked into the water injection system further than changing out the filter, so this is all conjecture.
In closing, no puddles under the car in normal operation. |
