BimmerCode - who used it?

Hello all, my adapter comes in today. Im just wondering a few things I'm hoping someone could help clear up.

FEM: I see under Comfort Opening/Closing that you can do the "fold mirrors" however I do not have comfort and the only line I see for having the mirrors fold is "when locking vehicle w/ comfort closing". I want to do it when locking with the remote, same setting or different? Same goes for when unlocking, I want them to unfold.

The other setting I'm looking for is Windows up/down with remote but cant seem to locate.

The answer to this: Enable European High Beam Assist (Requires High Beam Assist And Adaptive LED Headlights). I already know, its not possible with Bimmercode, but figured I'd throw it up here incase something has changed since the last post I saw on it.

The bluetooth adapter is less expensive, but the connection can be somewhat fidgety from my experience. Not worth the risk while coding modules on my BMW.

I would stick with the WiFi adapter. It has the most stable connection that is less prone to communication issues or disconnecting.

Actually the bluetooth is more expensive (at least on amazon). It was my understanding that wifi would be preferred due to a likely better connection. But, now I'm questioning that based on my experience (BimmerCode support also suggested that maybe I should get the bluetooth). Maybe I did get a bad unit and should just order a replacement wifi...

All Key Fobs have the capability from the factory to be able to open all your windows by holding down the unlock button until your desired opening is met. Also you can just press and hold onto the comfort access point on the door handle and all of your windows will close to your desired setting. No need for coding.

Thanks I figured it out. As mentioned I don’t have comfort access.

I got everything working, mirror fold and windows up with remote and mirrors unfold when unlocked with remote. This bimmercode app is pure genius and insanely easy to use.

Ahh, no kidding?!?!

I ordered the one from eBay linked below and I haven't had any issues with it after coding multiple cars. He immediately accepted my offer of $22

hmm the vgate icar 2 (what you linked) is on Amazon prime for $22. May just go ahead and order that instead of the pro - maybe it has better compatibility than the pro.

Might as well try something different instead of ordering exactly what I have now (in case the issue is software compatibility with Android and the pro).

i don't have comfort access and I am having hard time coding mirror fold , I code delay to 0 and fold mirrors with key fob with no results .Any advice ?

You have to code on the comfort access with remote features under FEM. then code on fold mirrors in that section as well. Note, when you lock the car you need to hold the lock button for about 3 seconds or so to get the mirrors to fold. When you unlock it should instantly flip the mirrors out.

You should be able to have them fold instantly on lock. Try changing "comfort closing delay" option and reduce it to the lower the value of .5

Works but constantly drops connection. So I have to restart the app and connection many times

This looks interesting and easy enough for a novice. VIM is there for dvd but do you guys know if you are able to to USB video playback?

I’ve tried a few formats of movies stored on a USB thumb drive and all is working perfectly. Have not tried it in motion so far but will be later today.
