Exhaust Set Up Too Quiet

I have the remus axleback, aa resonated equal length and catless downpipes and find it to be way too quiet. Is there another midpipe that I can switch to that'll be louder or another set up?

You could either swap out the resonated section or go AA single.

That's what I was thinking. I know it'll sound raspier since I have catless downpipes but I don't mind if it sounds good still. Would you say the single or the non res equal length would sound better?

Do you have a cg valve controller? If not this is what you want to keep the valves on the Remus always open.

I had the same setup, with valves shut it sounded like a Honda Civic SI. Valves open it was worse (buzzy). I tried using non-resonated pipes and it sounded so brassy I couldn't deal with it. Reminded me of my CR-X back in the 90s with a magnaflow muffler. Rough.

The AA (or really any of the knock off) single mid pipes sound really good with the Remus axle back. I went back to that, love it.

I don't but I opened it with bm3 for sport/sport+ and even then it's not too loud

That's exactly what my boyfriend said, right after my remus was installed he thought there was Honda revving outside lol. I will definitely be switching to the aa single, thank you!

Well my lady knows nothing about cars and her response to the EL setup was 'is something broken? Why does it sound like that?'

This is before the upgraded turbos and E85 but this setup is pretty good. Now it's deeper and I hear the over pronounced turbo hiss.

The AA Single will increase your volume, and you could keep the resonated extensions installed from the EL to avoid any rasp.

The EL resonated extension bolt up with the AA single? No modifications needed?

Yes. I have swapped them and can confirm that they are the same parts.

I just installed the AA Single Mid, with the REMUS AXEL BACK.
Zero Rasp, virtually no drone, and I am also running VRSF down pipes (GTS Burbble map). My controls setup to keep the flaps open at all times, and I love the tone from this setup; which is exactly why I didnt get caught up in the EL Mid pipe craze.

Dont bother adding the resonated extension, especially if you want a loader deeper tone.

Ok got it, I can't wait to hear it with the aa single midpipe. I was so disappointed after I got the remus installed cause I couldn't hear a thing!

FYI - I went from VRSF DP paired with stock ZCP cat back. At idle, the stock with DP's had a little more "gurgle" than my new setup- almost silent. I deleted cold start, which might have had a slight effect to this, but once you tap the throttle, all you hear are the turbos spooling, and a low, brassy exotic tone. To me it was far better than when I heard the EL Mid in person. Ill see if I can get a video to add to the mix of comparisons already floating around.

Yep, the sound dynamics of single mid require zero resonators.

Running a full tank of E85, engine warm, cold outside. iPhone microphone, not the best. Those turbos whistle ALL day long. In parking garages it's a neck breaker. Ain't no Honda Civc here.

Sounds pretty high pitched to me but I do hear the brassy tone. Almost sounds like my old E46 M3 (cammed, csl intake, supersprint stepped headers, Dinan muffler)
