My process regardless of how dirty.
1) Foam cannon, then rinse. 2) Two bucket method, then rinse. 3) Microfiber towel dry with compressed air. I've tried power washing and the entire time I couldn't shake the feeling that I shouldn't be using the same tool I use to clean my driveway on my M3. |

If you're not getting thick enough foam you might want to try 1) adjusting the mixture to use less water or 2) trying another shampoo as they don't all foam the same.

My pressure washer is connected 24/7/365 to my outside tap on a manifold. Turn off the tap, sits just inside the door. No set up or take down time. Can open other manifold to remove water from hose if there is going to be a freeze in winter.
Karcher 1700 psi 1.2 gpm electric. It’s not the most psi but works fine for washing our stucco walls down and washing cars and erasing tire tracks off driveway. To deep clean concrete I’d need more psi. Best of all it was free via work reward points. I’m using the honey dew foam from chemical guys, I low pressure pre rinse with the karcher “soap” tip, switch to high pressure 20 tip and rinse again, foam half at a time, then wipe in straight lines with a clean chenille mitt to remove the foam and dirt amd road grime away. Then high pressure rinse with a 20degree tip and dry with a combo of drying towel and pro blow to run water out of trim nooks, wheels etc. Wasn’t perfect when I bought it but I take care to make sure it stays as nice as it can stay and not add microswirls.

Pressure washer: Ryobi 1900
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...0VPN0KME&psc=1 MTM Hydro Foam Cannon, with an upgraded orifice that produces more foam. Orifice: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...EO82905G&psc=1 Wash Process: NEVER IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT/2 Bucket method. -Foam cannon with Kamikaze Anti-Aging Shampoo (let sit on your car for ~ 5 mins). -Rinse -Re apply Foam cannon with Kamikaze Anti Aging Shampoo for a slick washing surface. -Wash with Esoteric Elite Car Wash Sponge. -Rinse -Dry with Gyeon Q2M Silk Dryer Microfiber -Compressed air for door jams, mirrors and what not. -Every 4 washes or so, I apply Kamikaze Over Coat (my car is Ceramic Coated with ISM 1.0) Towels: 350 GSM - Polish application 500 GSM - Final polish One of the tricks I have learned (mainly after I ceramic coated), is to keep your lineup of products to a minimum. I used to be a product junky, and I would use different soaps, and final detail sprays with every wash. One issue many ppl do when when polishing their cars is using a different product with each wash, or going back and forth with 1-2 different items thinking that they're doing the car a service by applying everything under the sun. In fact, layering multiple products diminishes your top layer of protection, which will decrease the hydrophobic properties of the original coating. Another note with detail products, less is more! The entire process above takes me roughly 1.5 hours, but only after I have had a triple shot of espresso. If you really want to keep things simple, and only if your paint is in damn good condition; decontaminate the car, clay, wash, use PREP, and then ceramic coat - dont be afraid of doing a DIY ceramic job, as its simpler than applying wax. If your paint has a bunch of defects i.e. swirls, then get it paint corrected.... use a product like Dr. Color Chip to fill in any micro chips prior. |

Sort of off-topic here, but wasn't sure where to post!
Recently got some gloss black ZCP exhaust tips, could use a good cleaning. What are people using on these?

Can't go wrong with this product:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RTZBGWX...lig_pi_dp&th=1 Get yourself some new brake pads as well. I switched to AKEBONO's two years ago, and have only washed my satin 666's only a handful of times (uncoated), as a quick pressure wash does the trick. These barely dust up the wheels, and are worth every penny (around $250 for fronts and rears.) |

Foam cannon connected to my Karcher K1700. Running a random foam cannon my brother bought me ~6 years ago but swapped in a 1.1 orifice. I get pretty close to shaving cream consistency with 200mL of Meguiar's Gold Class and 800mL of water. Also running a swivel shorty gun and some 3.0 nozzles to up the GPM. Use the 2 bucket method, although it's technically 3 bucket b/c I keep my brake mitt and bucket separate. Sadly, at our new place, I have no choice but to wash in direct sunlight, kind of annoying. Shade is only on the driveway at 8am or 7pm, no in between.
