Someone hit my newish M3

Had the car for 4 months. Love it. Was hit at a 90 angle at a slowish speed (20 mphish) just in the wrong spot. Hit me in the back right wheel/trunk area, enough to damage suspension... no injuries but couldn't drive car.
3 weeks still don't have my car back. Took over 1 week for insurance to review estimate and pay. Parts ordered and hopefully currently being fixed. I will send another email today, but I fear their response on turn around time. Could have been worse, but still a bummer...

my hit was a little faster but at a 45 degree-ish angle. no frame damage, just parts and bodywork. it's worth the wait if they're doing it right, trust me. they had to get something from germany for me so it can take awhile.

Damn, This is what scares me most driving my cars.
I slide my cars around all the time but I can’t control another person that isn’t paying attention.

I got rear ended about 2 weeks ago myself. Had just picked the car up from paint correction and ceramic coating too.

Well, just waiting... and waiting. I guess it could be worse, but it has removed a lot of joy from my life.

I'm driving a Tiguan and pathfinder right now. Ohhh the joy...

Sorry to hear that - this is a frustrating experience especially with all the pride we take in our cars.

Western suburbs. Near La Grange in Hinsdale. I just got the bad news that it's going to be an additional two weeks on repairs. Just in time to put snow tires on UGGH

How is life in Arizona? It's on my list of potential landing spots in 5-7 years. Are you working out there? Where are you living? Do miss the "big city" ever?

Arizona is pretty sweet. plenty of good driving out here for sure and everyone overall just seems happier...must be the sunshine haha. Yea I'm a mechanical engineer and work at an archery company out here, they offered me the job so took the chance to get out of Illinois.

I definitely miss the city, really no place like it. but I didn't love it enough to stay in Illinois. it's such a crap shoot, we knew we'd have a better quality of life elsewhere.
