M4. I had an M4 and destroyed the Lexus on the track in speed and esp cornering. And in looks. It's a fat pig.

FWIW, I think it is a fine car. I also think it’s cool they have a N/A V8/build quality etc. The only things I really have against it is the weight and the fact Toyota could of done a lot better if they really invested and tried. It’s a bummer they franksteined it.
Perfectly stated.. got a buddy w/ an RCF and the car is great, nothing wrong with it. Add 6MT or DCT, deduct 400-600lbs however to bring it closer to what the M4 is and I might've considered it. The weight and the semi odd proportions from frankensteining 3 cars together turned me off. The V8 with an exhaust however is glorious sounding, as are most V8s.

The car weighs so much more than F8x, but the rear seat leg room / headroom / overall room, and the trunk, are much smaller. Interesting..

In 1992 I bought a Lexus SC300 Coupe with a 5 speed manual. That was a really excellent car. Build quality was exceptional. The car felt like it had been carved out of a solid block of steel. The interior was very upscale and the car drove very well. It was truly a Grand Tourer - handled well and was quiet and comfortable. The SC300/400 was universally praised by the automotive press and made Car and Driver's Ten Best list several times.

I kept that car for almost 15 years and considered myself a Lexus convert and fully intended to replace it with another Lexus Coupe. Unfortunately Lexus replaced the SC300/400 with the SC430 retractable hardtop convertible which did not interest me in the least. The Lexus was replaced with a 335i E93 which was replaced with a BMW M4 which was replaced with another BMW M4. During that time Lexus did not have anything that interested me.

From what I gather the RC-F is a good car but it was not a consideration when it came time to replace my 2015 M4 (which I replaced with a 2018 M4).

I think Toyota/Lexus definitely has the capability and resources to build an M4 competitor but up to now their attempts have fallen short.

If your looking for a true performer with no compromise go with the M3/M4. If you want a supple ride a luxurious interior and performance is not the most important factor go for the Rcf. Lexus builds great cars so its all about what's important to you most.

I cant believe you just made that statement. I transitioned from a 335i to an M3 and they are night and day. Idc to go thru all the numerous differences but you are as wrong as two left shoes.

I transitioned from a 2007 335i with sport package to a 2015 M4 to a 2018 M4 with Competition Package.

I found the improvements to be noticeable and worthwhile but I would not characterize them as "night and day"

335 to Mx = totally different car, more than night and day
Mx non-ZCP to ZCP = noticeable difference...if you look for it
