Before I purchased my M4, I would have thought the above was crazy talk. However it couldn't be more true. Amazingly, I haven't even come close to receiving a ticket in this car because I just love driving it around at the speed limit! Hah, it makes no sense!!

I've done quite a bit exterior wise and interior wise to the car, but have felt absolutely no desire to mod the engine. First time ever for that!

Used 981's are a pretty good deal at the moment. You can sell m4 and go straight into a boxter s or pay a bit more for gts. It wont drive quite as good as the 718 but it will sound miles better.

I have been keeping my eye on CPO 981 GTS prices. It seems like they have gone up in last couple months. Sub 20k miles are $70k+. Problem is there is only 17 total CPO samples available in the entire US.

If you don't mind me asking, what is "not terrible" in terms of lease financials?
Thanks!! It was a low option build but the options it had were perfect for me. The M2 is great so far but I do miss the handling of the Cayman. Curb weight was 2888 pounds it felt so tossable!

I forget the specifics like MF and residual but with nothing but 1st month and fees up front, 7.5k mi/30 mo. It was $726 per month. MSRP was $68k.

Not too long ago I was quoted $820 per month for 10k/39 months for an 718 Cayman S with an msrp of $78k. Nothing but 1st month and fees up front. I think it was 10% off msrp they were offering.

$820 a month for a Cayman at those terms is unbelievably good. Especially if you got that quote after the Fed raised the prime rate in the spring and summer

I was close to pulling the trigger but I knew I couldn't go another 3 years with a two-seater daily driver. It was tempting tho! I love the NA flat 6 but I wasn't too bothered with the turbo flat 4 feel and sound.

I made the move to a 718 Cayman GTS after owning two M4s and never regretted it. Such a balanced machine that it makes you feel so confident in the corners. It has loads of power and the looks of a mini supercar. Porsche really knows how to build sport cars.

I feel like they missed the mark on the 718 front, it looks so mundane.

981 GTS front looks more aggressive, it has a GT4 look to it.

Also, it seems that either Porsche lease deals suck or people just throw money at Porsche dealers. They quoted me $1700/month for a $95k Boxster GTS. I can finance it for that much a month. If anyone has any Porsche sales person hook up, let me know. I've gotten used to getting easy deals from people like Greg Poland from Pacific BMW.
Call Tim Grape at Porsche of the Main Line. Tell him Chris in Virginia referred you. Trust me on this! I'm guessing 4% off just about anything you want. 6% on the right car. I just referred him a Targa GTS customer. Got a 991S from him and felt like I stole it. Good luck! Porsche is king. : /
