From F10 535i to M4

Hey guys! I'm currently selling my 2013 535i and planning on financing a 2015 m4. If anyone has made this change or something similar, how big are the driving differences? Like power, handling, etc.

There was a forum guy in NY who was $15k underwater on his 535i then co-signed with his parents to get a M4...

That was an entertaining thread to watch. Probably fake, but entertaining nonetheless.

Um, it's not even in the same arena. Like seriously. I'm not sure if this is even a real post. One is portly with minimal power highway cruiser/people hauler, one is a streamlined, performance oriented vehicle. The difference will be shocking to you.

Comparing a 535i to an m4 is like banging an ugly fat chick vs a supermodel lol. Go test drive already!

I'd proceed with caution OP.

The fact you owned an f10 535 in the first place makes me wonder if m3/m4 is right for you in terms of NVH.

Test drive thoroughly and be honest with yourself on what you're looking for in a car

I had a F10 528i before my F80. As expected, they are night and day different in terms of driving dynamics. The m4 will feel sooooo much lighter and more nimble compared to your 5er. Surprisingly, the rear seats in my M3 dont feel that much less spacious than in the F10 and both adults and car seats easily fit back there.

The S55 is a totally different beast vs. the N55 engine in the 535i. The decrease in curb weight and vehicle dimension will also translate to a dramatic difference in driving experience. However there is no denying that the 535i is the more comfortable / quieter ride.

So at the end it's your decision, OP. Find a local Carmax and test drive an M3/M4, they allow test drives no questions asked.
