Looking into getting my car wrapped, what questions should I ask?

So looking at getting my M4 (Black Sapphire) completely wrapped. The place I'm looking into does offer Xpel film and has quoted me $6500 to do it. This is my first time getting this done and my car is new. What are some of the questions I should ask?

I know off the top of my head would be,
How long does the film last?

Are there any special care procedures that I should take into account?

Any product to avoid?

Any other questions?

6500 is right on the money!

Questions:
Kits or bulk?
parts being removed?
handles coming out?
emblems off?
kidney grills off?
aftercare questions on upkeep?
paint correction prior? (add on)
ceramic coating after? (add on)

It will never be 100% perfect. So dont expect it to be.
Its paint protection, not perfection. The car wont get better looking with film from an aesthetic stand point.
If you stand back 3 feet and it looks good, call it good and enjoy driving knowing your car isnt getting pelted with rock chips. If you look at it from 6" away, you may find issues that may look off, but if you look at anything from 6" away, you will find issues...from your seats in the car, the dash, your tv at home, your bed frame....nothing is perfect

Been doing this for 8 years, and in the Detailing industry for 15 now...never once have I seen a perfect install! We give it our best. Just have to have realistic expectations. Its meant to protect the paint in the end. There are some shops that just slap on film and call it good enough, but those are typically the $4000 shops for a full body because at that price, they dont have the room in the budget for removing film and redoing a panel, or they dont have the time allowed to do the whole job correctly, or its one of their first few cars. At $6500, it sounds like the shop has been around for a while and knows what they are doing. (could be wrong here though)

What makes the “kits” a bad thing?

You just see more edges and seams. From 3 feet away, cant tell. from 6" it will be seen. They arent bad by any means

We plot bumpers with modifications as fitment is usually on point from Xpel DAP software, and then bulk the rest of the car for the custom installs. Otherwise, we can plot the entire car and install the film faster as its just lining up points instead of hand trimming everything

If you plan to keep the car long, make sure you get the 10 year film over the 5 year film.

I’m in Virginia Beach. Premium Auto Film came recommended to me.

So this shop (among all others in my area) they do kits. So guess I will look outside my area to get this done.

kits typically run 1800 for a full front, expect to pay north of 2000-2200 for custom front end.

While it makes sense, the looks of the film will not likely be the same in year 4 5 or 6 after 100k miles, so it will not matter as much if you plan on removing and replacing at the recommended time

The warranty is a numbers game. Its a selling point, but rarely is it cashed in...sort of like insurance on a TV at best buy. Ive purchased it 5 times, never used it...
