The ETA has been pushed back to late June.

the non resonated version will ship first, it'll take 2 weeks for all non-res orders to ship out.

The resonated version will ship after

I promise you guys it's worth the wait. Go a few pages back in this thread and I was just as pissed. Once it's installed and hear how amazing this is, you'll forget all about the wait.

yeah... but you said you waited like 8 weeks for yours. some of us are going to have to wait ~16 weeks unless a miracle happens lol. no doubt in my mind its a great product and im going to love it, but the order experience is certainly something that'll make me reconsider AA in the future, regardless of the product.

Wow, I guess I'm out of the loop and didn't realize you guys are now waiting that long. No doubt I agree with you then. That's brutal.

That potential 16 week wait is gonna make me hold off on taking the plunge. I'm gonna be moving in a few months and don't want it accidentally mailed to the wrong address.

I've had mine for almost a year now, if you told me to go back to stock I'd sell the car

I got mine from EuroKlasse in mid-April when they somehow suddenly had a bunch in stock. Got it four days after ordering. After reading this shit I'm glad I took that plunge.
Hope my muffler doesn't take nine years to show up.

I would put a single mid back on before I went back to stock.

What muffler? It's crossed my mind to do DPs and sell the MPE for a steel muffler

That’s actually a really good representation of what the EL midpipe sounds like from the outside. I’ve sent it to some people to give a good idea

Totally stock other than the midpipe. It's amazing.

I'll echo what others have said though about it sounding bad while the pipes are cold. But that only lasts a few minutes.

That's every exhaust though.

You should hear the MPE with non res EL, will literally sound like a trumpet when cold if you rev it past 3500 RPM.

Will check for other possible rattling causes during install.

I went from Stock to AA single to AA EL, using the original all 3 times. I doubt those crush gaskets are in good shape after being adapted to three different pipes.

Part # for anyone interested (I recommend just ordering it and installing it at the initial install- not saying you'll have a leak for sure but a crush washer technically is designed for one time use, I had no issue w/ the AA single however)

BMW Exhaust Gasket - 18307851168 X 2
BMW Flange Steady - Genuine BMW 18307848046 x1
BMW Collar Nut (M8) - Genuine BMW 18307597650 x 4
BMW ISA Screw - Genuine BMW 07129905867 x 2

Technically you only need the gasket if your car is in good shape - but for those that drive in snow / salt I'd buy the nuts/screws as well. I bought it all because I don't intend to fix this leak / rattle twice or deal w/ corroded hardware issues on install. YMMV
Update:
Well the rattle wasn't coming from the gasket, but I changed it out anyway since I paid the shop for their time. However, we found the reason for the rattle -another broken tab/weld that connects the two EL pipes together near the down pipe... maybe AA uses elmers glue to hold this particular weld together because this is the second time it has happened in sub 1000 miles on both my brother's F8X and mine. anyhow we contacted AA the first time and they sent us to Autotalent to get the weld taken care of, so I'll likely reach out again and let them know the same issue occurred to me as well.

For the mean time I just pushed the tab and bent it out of the way.. part of me doesn't think it's necessary but part of me wants a relatively new part to be.. relatively new. We'll see. For those getting rattles with the EL I'd check that weld.

Sounds great though and don't regret it one bit
Do you have pic of spot? I'm trying to resolve my rattle

whats the reason for this? i dont think ive noticed this in other performance cars that ive driven. sure all cars sound better at the right temp, but the s55 sounds embarrassing when its cold.

During cold starts the wastegates are fully open so you’re getting the full unfiltered rasp

im not even talking about that though. even after the cold start is finished, the exhaust still has that trumpet-like sound once you hit ~4k RPMs. not very noticeable once its warmed up, but again not something ive experienced in other cars.
