And I thought I was going to take my M3 (summer tires) to work this AM
Went to sleep last night with forecasts calling for 50 degrees during the commute this AM. Woke up to what some call the worst commute in the history of Boston. Was pissed I couldn't take the car out. But damn, what a zoo out there. Had to drive towards the 55 car pileup on I95N, but thanks to Waze, only ended up being 5 mins delayed. What a crazy morning for some!

I just take the subaru most of the time in the winter, unless it's warmer than usual. No matter how it pains you to see your car with crap wheels, trust me, it pains me more to drive a base imprezza

You don't have to sacrifice!! I picked up an extra set of 437m's on the forum and I put blizzaks on them. They handle great in the snow/bad weather and they look great too.

Yea I know the car is fine with snow tires, but I have one of those silly jobs where I have to go in regardless of road conditions, snow depth, etc. In that case, AWD with full snows (not high performance snows) is still the best way to go. So I never bother with the expense/hassle of a winter M setup.
