Questions about selling my 2017 M3
Hello all,
I am selling my 2 yr old 2017 F80 M3 with 19300 miles. Got a few Qs that could use some input from you guys: 1. Which website do you guys use to get the most exposure? 2. KBB gives my car value at 52k avg for trade-in and 57k for private sale based on "good" condition. Seems a little low IMHO. What do you guys think? 3. Does the extended warranty I bought carry over to the buyer? Thanks! |

1. cargurus, craigslist, auto trader, forums
2. check comparable vehicles with the same options & mileage to get an idea of pricing 3. you'll have to speak with the warranty company to see if it's transferable, if it is not sometimes they will offer you a pro-rated refund

GLWS and for those of you out there, please never ever buy an extended warranty until you are just about 6 months from going out of warranty.

1) As stated above, any common car sites cargurus, craigslist, autotrader, social media forums, etc would be ideal. More exposure you can get the better so post your car up on multiple sites and talk to people you know.
2) KBB is just one resource, not always reflective of the actual market just a general guideline. You can ask for whatever you want and some people are willing to spend more for the right car. Low to mid/high 50's is just a ballpark, there are always outliers. 3) You'll need to speak to the warranty company or dealer you bought your extended warranty from to get a more precise answer here. Best of luck but at least tell us why you are getting out of your F80. Upgrading to something else or just needs changing? |

The color combination and equipment list will have a lot to do with what the market value is.... do some research and find comparable vehicles to decide on a price for yours.

The price seems about the ball park. Color combo/how stripper or loaded will make a difference (generally strippers do much better as far as %)
Even if DCT was a no cost option, it’ll likely be valued lower. KBB/NADA will not take into account the higher value of the manual cars. Strange, i know |
