I can't wait to hear the new HK stereo in the F8X. I need to bring my test song - Usher's "Twerk It Out" (..I'm LOL'ing right now) - to really see what the system can do.

Premium Sound in my '08 ($1,900) is good, but really only great at high volumes. Not exceptional at normal volumes. HK in my ML sounds better under those conditions, hoping same for this car.

I heard the HK sound system at Detroit Show and it was awesome. Very rich and clear sound.

HK system in my Challenger was TERRIBLE....!! No joke one of the worst systems I've ever heard. If you wanted NAV, you had to get the crappy HK system. Ralph Gilles had very high praise for it...

lol hk doesnt make "one" speaker. im guessing f8x hk system will most likely be the same one in my f30. it sounds good. base is good. high frequency needs to be bit sharper, but overall good system

HK sucked for sure in the E46 line.

Premium sound in the E9x M3 wasn't any better than the Premium sound in the regular E9x line. It was standard in my wife's 335 and became an $800 option later. It was worth that, but $1,900 for the Premium in the M3 was questionable only because the base system pretty much sucked unless unless you listen to AM talke radio.

LOL! That's music to my ears! I am still driving my E46 M3 with HK. It doesn't sound bad to me. If you guys say E46 HK is bad, then the new F8x HK will just be that much more of an improvement to me! Haha!

Iirc BMW had to put some sort of insulating adhesive between the window/package tray and sub on my E46 as it rattled,

The e90 was a big upgrade from E46.

I'm still driving my e46. The first couple years I cared about the rattles and speaker noises. I've had it for 8 years now and I don't notice anything lol.

They don't, LED and Xenon lights are less than .1 lb apart.

Yea I'm really hoping the F80/82 has a different HK sound system. I wasn't all that impressed with the one in the F30. It pretty much sounded like my Logic 7 in my 07 335i.
