I think I have a problem...... I'm addicted to driving.

We went for a "little" drive last night at 8, I ended up coming home at 1:30 am. Couldn't stop driving the car. Kept trying to get off the exit to go home like 3 times after 12 pm and just missed the exit and drove out to the burbs and back again. "Ok, this time, I'm going to get off and go home" is what I kept saying but just kept driving past the exit every time. It's so addicting to drive. Feels so good to keep the car near redline. Just sings. I'm supposed to put in my daddy time today, but all I really want to do, is get some breakfast and go driving again. Lol. Maybe, please Lord, my parents will call to take the kids today. Please, 🤞. I put on 2k miles on the CS in less than 1 month. It just feels so good.

I’ve been going on drives alone everyday since I got my f80. Only 30 minute drives though.

99% of the miles I put on the car are just from going on drives on the weekends. I use my pickup for work but still manage to put more miles on the M4 yearly than the pickup.

I try to use any simple excuse to drive the F80 when I can, I drive my pickup for work daily as well so I stay day dreaming I was driving the M3 especially when people decide to fly right by me and are in need of humbling :

F it. Can't chance it. Gotta call Grandma and make sure it happens. 😊 I just need one more hit. Just 30 min on the highway, maybe an hour. That's it. Lol.

We usually go in a group of 3 of us for the company. And just switch up driving. But, I gotta say, going alone, with some good beats, no distractions, no talk, just pure concentrated driving is also very nice.

This is my favorite thing. 😂. Sometime, it's nice to run into some others nice cars that are DTF, "down for/to fun". Ahahah. Did a few pulls against a c63 amg last night another fellow m4 owner.

Mine is my 2nd car, purely for the enjoyment of driving. 3500kms on it since i got it (3months ago) haven't actually driven it somewhere with a destination in mind all km's have been just for the drive as i have some sweet hills and twisty roads minutes from my house.

It's automotive therapy.

Wife: what do you all day?
Me: drive.
Wife: Drive where?
Me: anywhere and no where, just drive.
Wife: for hours, really?
Me: yeah, it's fun.
Wife: so you just go on the highway, and just drive for hours?
Me: yeah.
Wife: you're having an affair, that's what it is.
Me: no, just driving, I swear.
Wife: no body just drives for hours to nowhere.
Me: you do if you have an ///M

That's for sure. Woke up today, feel happy. Birds are chirping outside, sun is shining, wife is looking good, kids are great. Lol. Made a delicious breakfast for everyone.

If you think about it, it makes be a better husband and father. Yeah, that's it.

Which have been like 5 days the last months

Omg. 😂. I literally got the same comment.

She's like: it's ok. You just got the car recently, your excited, in a month things will be back to normal. She just doesn't know that I already have track days and cruises scheduled for the next 4 months already. Lol.

If you want to have some fun, make sure to put in the game tokens, i.e. Fuel credits. Went through 2 tanks alone yesterday. Last week, $350 in gas alone.

Bing....out of credits...need more credits. Worse sound. Lol

I take hour long drives to the grocery store to pick up one item that I don't really need. I do this a few times a week. Sometimes I get there and can't find a good parking spot, so I leave and come back the next day.

I can't stop! Wait, typing this I realised I'm out of bananas. BRB

Drive as much as you want now as the days of truly free driving are very slowely but surely coming to an end.

I hear ya. My work schedule puts me making the home commute around 11pm 2 or 3 times each week. Empty roads, cool air, fun car... it all makes for a difficult time deciding it's finally time to head to the garage and park the thing.
