Received M3 stealth sub box and need some help...

I bought a stealth sub box that fits in the cubby space above the amp. Just noticed there is a thin metal bar holding a net in that space. Anyone have a quick diy on how to remove that bar?

Here's a shot of mine installed. Carpet isn't an exact match, but close enough. Fitment is spot on.
