F80 M3 to 992
It has been a very long time since I posted here, but I wanted to share my experience after selling my F80 back in late 2017 and receiving the 992 earlier this year. So I will start of by saying that I really regretted selling my F80 and moving to an x5, my car was an early build that I picked up in 2014 and had all the options available at the time except for CCBs. I must say that the M3 is one of the best value of money cars available, it offers an incredible driving experience/fit and finish. Things I miss about the M are its dual nature, daily usability and how mod friendly the platform was. Stepping into the 992S is a huge step up in performance, handling, and seemingly endless traction. For spirited driving I would choose the Porsche any day, as it offers a very raw experience, however for daily commute I do miss the M for its more comfortable ride on the highways and better insulation. Please let me know if you guys have any questions.

Congrats on that beautiful 992! You have it nicely specced!! Love those wheels with sport design package. I switched from M4 to 991.2 and never looked back....no regrets. My M4 was a total letdown after wanting and Mcar since the E46. Steering was numb without any feedback. Congrats on that 992!!!

I think a lot of M owners want to step up to porsche.
It’s the natural way when you like German sports cars and go from $60k cost to $120k cost of car (and don’t want a factory track car + trailer, or a much faster but American badged car) That being said, I’m glad you’re enjoying your new car and enjoy in good health. Edit: I went with an old modded turbo myself after f80 so I get it |

Yes, sports design package is an expensive (~$3k for front only, ~$5k all around) but totally worth it option, really makes the front end look much better.

I had a chance to flog the 992 and 991.2 GT3 at the Porsche Experience Center in Carson a couple of months ago.
-992 is a smooth operator -It's got ridiculous straight-line speed, but it disguises its speed -Sport exhaust sounds good even with the FI engine -Looks markedly better than the 991 But the GT3 made it feel like a waste of time. I got back in my M4 and knew the only Porsche I'd be happy in is the one built by Porsche's motorsport team.

I always run a two car garage. I like old trucks, lifted with big tires.

C7 Z06s can't handle the heat which is the opposite of our awesome F8Xs. Sht design. I do love the way they look, though.
