Valve cover recommendations
Anyone have any recommendations for a valve cover that in theory won't have pcv issues? I hear aluminum covers prevent this but wanted to get some more insight.

Got the Vader Solutions valve cover installed. If you have a sawzall, go for it. If not, don't buy it lol. Fits perfect for n55. S55 needs to have the vacuum chamber taken out. However, the vacuum chamber plate holds the holes that allow the injector / coil pack wire rail to be bolted to the valve cover like on the factory one. Without it, it's just floating.
Charge pipes will not fit without removing the vacuum chamber. |

I removed the red area which is the middle portion. Not too hard to do though. I do wish they provided some sort of instructions though

How is it quality wise? Is it nice and flat and what did you have to do with the trimming of it to make it fit?

It is in fact flat. Be aware there's no instructions. But for the trimming there's a few torx bolts you pull out that allows you to remove the vacuum chamber on the left side. Once it's removed you need to cut off essentially the 2 end pieces of the vacuum chamber and bolt those back on. Which allows the charge pipes to fit

Other than that I just got the Aluminum valve cover installed yesterday! I’ve noticed when I had the PCV problem I was losing power and everytime I stepped on the gas it definitely had a lag to it. Everything is back to normal now with full power after getting it installed and nomore of that horrific squealing. By the way I did direct message Vader Solutions themselves about the cutting part, they said I wouldn’t need to do any cutting and it’s just a couple screws to take off the piece we don’t need which was for the N55. Turns out we had to cut a piece so the the ignition coil harness can be bolted on to the ends of the pieces. But everything went great! No leaks or anything! The aluminum valve cover does get hot though not going to lie. |

Vader also told me it doesn't need to be cut, but like you said, the ignition coil harness needs to be bolted on, so the cut is necessary. Oil cap: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...co-11128655331 Last edited by F80manz; 03-11-2025 at 10:21 PM.. |

So there's a Bremmen on Turner's site for $253.99. Looks the same as this one (probably same dropship company??). Wouldn't this work the same by just cutting the piece so chargepipes fit?
I'm at 102K miles and mine just started leaking https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-1...AaAj9VEALw_wcB |
