So, I have the Super Sports DD and NT01s Track on my M4 but I do have the PS4S on my 440 DD + Track.

For DD, they're way better than super sports. Excellent in the rain.

For track, they not terrible but they're not good. They get a little too greasy at high temps and lateral grip is lacking but I'm running 245 square so that could be part of it.

Those posts containing false information about PS4S being equipped on M3/M4's should be DELETED or edited.

I've been using my PS4S for about a month now, and it was an absolutely HUGE upgrade from my PSS's. Whereas my PSS has been sliding and losing traction even at 3rd gear going 40+ mph (with traction control off), the PS4S maintained its traction extremely well, even at relatively cooler temperatures (50-70 degrees). I've also installed BM3 stage 1 a few weeks ago, and it pairs with the PS4S perfectly. I feel like even stage 2 would pair well with the PS4S. The combination of the tire and ECU upgrade has provided best performance/cost ratio BY FAR of anything I've ever invested in so far.

Hmm, I am the minority here in that I am very unhappy with my PS4Ss in the fronts. I have stock 19" rims so 255/35/19 in the front with PSS in the back at stock 275/35/19. The steering feel is now very soft and light - in fact steering set to Sport+ on the PS4S feels how comfort did with my old PSS. Sure they are quiet and grip well enough but the steering feel to me is awful now. I'm afraid this is just the way the tires are and won't improve as I break them in... it's so bad I may take the hit and order PSS and try to sell these for a loss...

Anyone else experience this?

Don't have this issue you're facing. Steering feel is pretty much the same. Haven't been able to push it hard yet given the unexpected cold weather here. They are just as hard as the MPSS when cold out (46-54) but when it's warm >65, it is a lot more pliant going over bumps and such. It also grips better in the rear with less wheel hop/traction control kicking in when launching.

I had ZCP OE size PS4S installed today on all 4, and I share your experience. Coming from worn PSS, there is huge difference in steering feel. The instantaneous responsiveness is replaced by soft, mushy feeling. Tire pressure is the same as what I had before on PSS at 32 PSI cold. I’ll see if things get better, or more likely, I’ll probably just get adjusted to the feel of the PS4S. When these wear out, I may consider going back to PSS front, but keep PS4S for the rear.

Increasing the tire pressure to 34 PSI helps with steering response. After spending more time with the PS4S, I’m appreciating the other qualities of the tire over the PSS. Grip and stability are much improved. The tire absorbs bumps and imperfections quite well. The suspension feels like it’s doing less work. Overall, I’m really enjoying the PS4S now.

I recently got the OEM sizes ps4s installed on my 666m wheels. I have 12mm spacers all around but for some reason front passenger side tire has been rubbing, driver side is fine. My car is lowered, I am guessing I will need to take spacers off. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have the stock 513 wheels and are running the OEM PSS 255/275 setup and have been really happy with overall grip and nd wear. Tires are getting ready to be replaced - thinking about moving to Ps4S tires, but can’t get OEM sizes...

Has anyone made the change with 18” wheels and if so did you go to the 265/285 setup?

Thx for any feedback.

What tire pressures?

Hmm I just checked and they’ve dropped to 30 all around. Maybe that’s the problem.

So the Michelin P4S will break loose during my late night shenanigans too..? Are they really that much better than then Continental Extremecontact sport? Which tire will help me take off easier at the redlight in Mexico?

PS4S is good for daily driving. I've had them for the last 10k miles on my car. But ever since I went full E85, they don't hook for sh#t even when warmed up. So I switched to Pilot Sport Cup 2's today.

Thanks, so good to know they can't handle 580whp lol. Did you do your crank hub? Or a capture plate? Any issues? I DD my car so, and rains more than enough in NY, can't have nice things like cup 2s

I just did the capture plate. No issues. Think the whole crank hub situation is blown out of proportion. But that's just my opinion. Some people will tell you otherwise.

The label on the door of my f83 says 2.6 bar (37.7 psi). 255-275 35 19 I ask why I just bought 4 PS4S that I will have to assemble and I find different information for the same car.

That's some proper dealer bullcrap. It's not even like you'd be switching from star-spec run-flats to non-RFTs.

That dealer is full of crap and I would never return there if they told me that.

My dealer sells/installs PS4S themselves.

LMAO! Voiding the warranty for what? Your tires? I guarantee you that if you had to get any warranty work done they wouldn’t even notice your tires unless you’ve changed tires drastically from the stock size. If you are running some odd sizes that take away the front rear height stagger, I can see how that *may* mess your car up, but not if you’re on stock sizes.

If anything I would think the dealer would be more concerned w/ people running spacers and/or aftermarket rims/tires that have a more flush offset which actually can cause increased wear on suspension components and wheel bearings and stuff.

In my case, I had 15mm spacers AND ran wider 265/35/19 and 285/35/19 PS4S, and had car lowered w/ coilovers and my dealer didn’t give 2 shits about any of these mods when I took my car in.

PS4S on my '18 F80 ZCP (305R, 275F) and very happy with them for spirited city/hwy driving. No track time though.
