Put the stock pads back on and the set up was f*&ked in one day... fairly easy to change yourself, or just have your local workshop do it in 15-20 mins the day before and after the track day (was too noisy for me on street full time). Make sure you update your fluid to a high quality race fluid too. SRF of Motul 600 are great, SRF particularly as they say you can leave in for a year without changing. If you're in Sydney go see Adam at Advan Performance.
What pads are you using for the street?

I am a bit of a novice and not the bravest driver but I am enjoying taking my cars out to the track. Had another session at The Bend International Circuit today.

M2 competition.
Stock tyres and stock pads with the blue M brakes.
Managed a 2:27.

Yes, my will. I slowed to let him pass as the cars were even for ten laps, thought I could catch him now that my brakes aren't made of cardboard. Problem was I overcooked my front PS4S (pressure too high) and put my foot in before the blind crest hoping it would stick - no. I could have had a go to keep it on black, but I didn't want to test my front splitter on the brake marker signs - I decided to go left

Epic track. Best for the day was a 2.11.2, but I reckon there's a 10 in it with a bit more bravery.

Best part is the hotel is upstairs, so when you're done for the day, you can head straight to the bar.

Mods are a050's and pagid RS29's. Car is otherwise stock.

Nice !

My bad I didnt see the "even for 10 laps"
The C63 looked like it was lapping 5 secs + faster, which on the tracks days ive been to the F80,s are normally quicker. Was the C63 modified maybe ?

Nah stock, and I think steel brakes- I spoke to the guy after - top bloke - and said I thought it fair to have a go from behind but I cooked it. With the Pagid pads you can really stand on it lap after lap - but I punished the 4S fronts. You can hear those Yoko tyres in your YT vid!

Thanks - it's always helpful following a quicker car around there, the lines take a while to get used to and aren't intuitive. I followed a GT4 cayman around there early on and he showed me all the tricks

At best, I'm good at copying

Will be back there again in June with a bit more power.

Nothing too exciting. Cars out of warranty, so thought I’d do a couple of little things. Downpipes, stage 2 bm3 tune (20% torque reduced) and crank hub capture for safety.

Go E85, you're lucky enough to be near some. I can only get it out of a 44gal drum, or on pump at The Bend. I'm waiting on the warranty clock, and someone to Guinea pig the Ecutek flex-fuel flash.

Yeah, I did think about it - I want to see what the car is like with this power before I swap over to e85

The flex fuel sensor things a great idea, makes it easy as to swap your fuel across.

Soooo, had my FIRST ever track experience/day at Sandown this morning. Was with Evolve driver training.

Only did an AM session so 3x20min sessions. Unfortunately the first 2 of those were pouring with rain. So really only got one dry (99% dry) track.

Stock 2018 M4 CP, Pilot Super Sports, RS29 pads. WET was 1:43.84, DRY was 1:26.99

Im pretty happy with a 1:26.99 for my first ever outing on a track. Had some pretty good coaching, I'm sure if i got another few dry sessions in i could have squeezed it down to a 1.24ish...

Timing was Harrys, I will upload the video when i get a chance... Sorry about the shakey video, i have to get a better stable mount. watching it back it gave me motion sickness. Will post wet and dry lap videos.

DRY LAP

VERY WET LAP

Friend of mine recently bought an M3 and we were keen to head to the bend in the next few months for a day. All that's on hold for now,
If there are any gamers out there The bend have just released a digital version of their track for Assetto Corsa, I tried it out, it's not too bad.
