Few little updates. Currently tuning with F80Paul and we just made it through 93 and did my first E30 log. Awaiting updates there, but in the meantime did some 60-130 work to see where we were.
Also added motorsports hardware 14x1.25 -> 1.5 conversion studs and some Muteki lug nuts which... i really dislike actually. They're not staying, but here they are anyway lol. My sense is they're really blocky feeling and maybe too tuner-ish even on a TE37. I'll try out something different but do want that little pop of color still.

Couple small updates leading into the one i'm excited about and getting back on the rollers on Wednesday morning! Excited to see where the E50 Pure 2+ setup has me sitting. I'd be super happy with really anything north of 600whp honestly, so figure 550-560 on that dyno dynamics unit.
Happy with how it's moving too for being a 6mt car Also finished the stud conversion and swapped lugs for some 'normal' short black lugs and look a million X better. Still don't have caps for the rear totally settled yet, I need to modify the rubber gaskets I have and get them to sit a little better in the hub/wheel but it's getting close. Also took a wire brush and sanded down all the surface rust to give it a fresh high-temp paint so it looks MUCH better already

Whoops, while changing the filter on my Bend Cal kit and somehow killed the o-ring without noticing. Spun it all back together, started the car and HUGE fuel leak :/
NAPA generic o-rings ftw I guess. Sized it up with some other *close* fits and was able to find the exact one I needed. All freshened up and back together.

I was in a rush (lol) and totally forgot to check the actual indicator on the filter housing so I don't know if it was limiting flow/pressure at all but glad to have swapped it out after a few thousand miles.

Bump for some good news/not great news. Good news is I joined the "600whp club" in hitting the dyno this morning.
The not as great news is that I spun to the tune of 560whp on the local dyno dynamics dyno which reads 11% lower than a dynojet. That nets me 621whp on the totally stock fueling system running E50. I expected another 15-20whp out of it honestly but given the tuning saga of hitting injection limits, i'm just glad to have a safe tune that breaks 600whp. No pictures of graphs as we had some serious problems getting the car to not spin on the initial torque hit. We feel more confident on the peak power but not the midrange. That being said the graphing looked terrible lol. https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=61b0...0b4344e1a3d6bc https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=61b0...90c666e435ba41 A lot to unpack here, but I feel like the dyno is just another tool and this process proves out to me that it generally is healthy, generally makes the numbers it should and the datalogs don't show anything concerning. Can't be too unhappy with that right?

Some small spacers might actually help the rear out with the "fix" that i've been using with the rubber gasket, but I think to use the adapters as they come you'd need a pretty sizable spacer to make it work. I'm guessing like at least 10-15mm. I'd be glad to mail you one of the Rays adapters if you want to try it out and see if you can make them work if you don't have them already.

I just ordered a 3mm and a 5mm spacer to try on the rears. Should be here on Wednesday. I think i'll have room and see how it works out but i'll let you know.

Added some tiny spacers and really made a big difference imo.
5mm rear Just the 5mm rear here and kinda made me think about trying out a front spacer. 3mm front 3mm on the front also allowed for the cap adapters to fit snuggly, although not perfectly in the wheel. I'm still using them as it's better than the rubber gaskets I used.

Just a quick update here and there.
Shot a couple vids just to share exhaust note/noise/tone and also show what the Pure 2+ actually sound like for normal everyday driving. Also started to get some of my fueling upgrades in. Ordered EU5's and the Dorch Lift Kit to take care of (at least most) fuel limits I was hitting up against.

How much more power do you really need on the streets? Unless you're trying to run sub 10 second quarter miles or compete in drift events, 621whp is more than plenty. I made 510whp and 601 wtq on 93-octane (tune-only & no bolt-ons) and will be asking my tuner to provide me with a stock file when I go to the track (Motorsports & auto cross) this Summer.
OEM components start breaking the higher you go. Stock rods start bending after 650 wtq. On a rwd car with a transmission that is rated to 400nm (at the crank) from the factory, how are you going to put it all down effectively?

Ultimately i'd like to do some half-mile and roll racing events, but one thing at a time here. As far as putting it down? SPL arms, rear-end bushing replacements and drag radials. But like I said, one thing at a time here.

Haven't updated in FOREVER, i've been so caught up with the Cobra and garage stuff.
Ordered a few things to keep it moving: - CF bumper fangs - CF side side splitter/sideskirts - Mode Carbon high kick spoiler Also a few pics from a local meet Next steps are honestly working on the Cobra, then i'll redo the fueling on this once I get a new LPFP and a retune.

Little tiny update with some exterior garnish.
OEM-style CF spoiler swapped out for.. Mode Carbon highkick spoiler Side before/after Front bumper 'fangs' Dinan axle back swapped in for the OEM base muffler I'll try to grab some clips later, i'm quite happy with the sound and complete lack of drone.
