Seriously my car is the only one that's not moving... Getting a bit concerned, supposedly it pushed up to week 23. Well isn't this 23 or is it 24?

If you have a WW23 production, it should have already started last week. I seriously suggest that you make sure the production number is under your name and is coming to the dealership that you are working with. You can make sure of this by looking at the VIR, as well as calling Genius. I am getting the feeling that you are being played - no one else is getting affected by the "navigation system" issue. If you indeed have a production number, Genius should be able to tell you which date (not just the week number) it will enter production.

Good luck.

I have and everything checks out, it's in my name, and going to that dealership. I wouldn't give a shit as much if I hadn't put $3k down, Also now it's too late to order from anyone else. So is this week 24 or 23? I get a different answer every time I call genius. My CA claims it moved to week 23 from 24. Genius claims it is week 24. This experience has been terrible from the start.

According to Genius, this is WW24 (consistent with Outlook calendar), and their definition of the WW is "the start of production." So WW24 cars should go in production this week.

The Wiki of this forum defines WW as the week of production completes, but uses a different WW number system, which has this week as WW23. Assuming it takes 10 days to complete, your WW24 car should be going into production this week as well. So the two systems are consistent, but could be confusing.

Long story short, you car should go in production this week. Otherwise, you are running out of time. WW26 is the last week of 2016 production.

It gets even better... Called Genius now pushed back to Week 25. I asked why, no answer. They claim week 25 starts 6/12...Okay 2 days ago they claimed this is currently week 23 and week 24 starts on 6/12. What in the hell is going on? My CA claimed 5 days ago that the car pushed up to week 23 and would start production any day... That was 5 days ago...Genius confirmed there are M4's that are going into production daily, but no answer as to why mine isn't. They confirmed everything is good with the order, etc. They show no holds on the order or anything, the don't show it being moved back even. Does anyone know of someone I can talk with besides genius that has more knowledge of what is going on? This is the biggest bunch of crap I've ever experienced. This should be enjoyable, but it's the exact opposite. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

For whatever worth, all the Geniuses I've talked have consistently stated WW25 means production start in the week of 6/12. I think you need to make your CA work for you.

I've tried, he's out today of course. Only advice he's given is "be patient, don't listen to genius, stop calling them, car will be here by June like we discussed, blah, blah, blah." Sales manager is supposed to return my call, as I left him a message. My CA claims genius doesn't know what they're talking about, or where they get their info. Every genius I've spoken with has given me different dates for week 24. Most have said it starts 6/12. Today the genius says week 25 starts 6/12. I have no idea where my CA got the info that my car pushed up to week 23, but I thought that was great news. So I called today because the website shows no production on my car.. Well they said its week 25 which starts 6/12. Biggest clusterf*** I've ever seen. He locked in my rate and loan the last day of May so it's good for 60 days, but that will be expired by the time the car gets here, provided the ship doesn't sink..

Just my .02. Relax. It'll come. I know you want it, but once you get it, you'll forget all about the wait. Again...just my .02.

Anybody know of any dealerships that have MW M4 available? Black full leather, CF roof and interior, 19 in black wheels, M adaptive suspension, DCT, exec. Package. I'll consider eating $3k and buy it now.. I do not even trust that I'll be getting a car at this point... My CA is the least informative of anyone... Tired of it.

The 20th of June? That's week 26.. Supposedly the last week for production of 2016 cars... Like I said, at this point I'm doubting I'll even get a car...

I hear ya, this has been nothing but miserable. Should be a fun experience, especially since it's my first BMW, but regretting it now. Have better luck buying a unicorn.

Actually I got the below email today stating the similar issue.

"I trust this email finds you well!

BMW has contacted me today in regards to your M4 order and so I was trying to call you , but since I could not get you on the phone I am emailing you now.

Unfortunately we do have a problem with your production date. Reason is that BMW has a shortage of supply on Navigation systems, due to a flooding of one of the supply storage areas. This means to you that your order will have a 3 week delay and the car will not get here until mid July.

· Now this will make it a 2017 model!
· BMW will hold 2016 prices for you."

Mid-July for a 2017? Did you have a production number already? My 2016 isn't going to be here by then, so there's no way you are getting a 2017 by mid July. My CA told me there are twenty 2016 M4's waiting to be produced yet, and they will be produced before any 2017 models because the factory shuts down after 2016 models are built as to prepare for the 2017 models. He saying hopefully I have mine by the end of July.

CA never know this stuff. Factory doesn't shutdown like the past. They are already prepared to build 2017's after the 2016's are finished. Week 27 2017 builds will start soon.

Even WW27 production can't possibly get the car onto the US soil by mid July.

This makes me wonder if the WW25/26 crowd may get lucky and that some iDrive 5.0 units from the 2017's found their way into the late 2016s during production.

I guess we'll find out in a few more weeks
