I like it. The 4x4 setup compliments the G82 styling. Aside, I'm down in SW Florida for the week and spotted an M4....hot garbage. I'm thankful they're few (none so far) and car between at home. I also saw a white M240i. That thing looks the part! It has the F8x hood bulge and is really aggressive plus sleek from all angles. The M2 is going to be the tits.

1. What is the problem?

2. Actually it has morphed into some truly cool pics of a lot of different things.

3. Unfortunately this is apparently a photoshop/render.

The last post before mine in this RennList thread does a good job of covering it all.
I can barely read that, a bunch of my least favorite posters (especially one) are in that thread.

It's an invariable cesspool of entitled elitists. Judgemental, narrow minded, know-it-all elitists.

Check out this gem for entertainment purposes. Guy is pissed he tried to make to Costco to fill up, thinking the dealer maybe will fill it up after his service appointment because he might buy from them again in the future.

There is a reason why I don't bother with Rennlist about 90% of the time. It is full of people like that. They assume too much regarding buying a Porsche, as if they should be treated extremely special or something. Not that Porsche doesn't, they will treat you well but within reason.

At the very least with this guy and gas, I can kind of see it. For example, I know for a fact that my dealership does have a few CCs that are specifically for getting gas for customers. It is used for new car deliveries. I think if I have asked, even during just typical maintenance stuff, they probably will fill up for me but I would need to ask them to. They won't just outright do it for you unless it is an emergency.

Then there is that other thread i saw CanAutM3 get into an argument regarding a few owners believing Porsche "owes" it do the owners who have LED to either retrofit/code-in the LEDs after US FINALLY allowed the adaptive high-beam stuff most of us BMW owners have probably done to our LEDs and the Adaptive High-Beams.

I really... really doubt Porsche or any dealership will "do it" for you without asking. That isn't how it works, nor is it a fucking charity. They need to make $$. It isn't even a recall, no dealership, regardless of which brand will just do it as a recall type event.

The kicker is they believe speaking 3 languages like CanAut can is a... bad thing?

As I said, morons.

I agree in principle, but differ on your examples. I would never bring my car in for service and expect them to fill it up. I would’ve laughed harder had they filled it up for him and then charged him ADM on the gas.

The lights I have a different view. Porsche doesn’t have to do anything, but it would’ve been an a easy customer service win for them in the US market. Everyone knows they’ve been neutered and could of set something up to get them programmed. I know there are hardware differences but there is still more capability that can be unleashed via programming that we already paid for. The we don’t know anything everyone is getting from PCNA and their dealers is unacceptable IMO. I’d even pay for the techs time to get them programmed just so I can have the added capability and not have to go aftermarket.

I mean it isn't like I expect them to either. I generally ask them to not touch my car for the most part and they don't.

During the entire process of my GT4, I had done most of everything in person. Even when I officially took delivery of my car, my CA came with me to get gas and he paid for it. That is how I knew about the CC stuff, he couldn't find it as another CA had it. They didn't drive my car to the gas station to do it then bring it to me, they didn't wash my car (as my own detailer did for me in person), even installing the lights on the front, I was there helping to do it with my CA helping.

I don't know if I am one of the rare customers of Porsche that takes care of their own cars opposed to others who just gets "taken care of". I just find people like that, complaining about something so little just hilarious.

It would be funny if they charge them ADM on gas though. haha

Yah I haven’t been treated any differently than buying from anywhere else. Service is unfortunately just as frustrating as other experiences. I told you about the initial oil change overfill that set off a bunch of warnings and had to be redone. Then the TPMS issue that they refuse to address or take seriously with my all season set. Bought OEM sensors for nothing I guess. It is what it is, I don’t expect anything anymore.

When we bought our Cayenne my CA gave us Martini racing gym bag and drink glasses we really liked but would never buy. That was really cool of him.

Edit: forgot to add the intermittent CEL on the Cayenne. Brought it in twice and they said we need to wait for a software patch. No ETA on when it will be available.

Not all, but definitely some. I can’t believe the people defending him in that thread. Like I said in that thread, easily a self inflicted wound that could’ve been avoided with no drama. Son love the attention and arguing though.

BMW, Porsche, Benz, et al should do this as a free warranty upgrade during routine service - like you said, it's easy and it's a HUGE win

Quite unbelievable, the level of entitlement. Freebies are nice, but free fill-up just because their 104th Boxster customer deliberately came in low on fuel? Maybe at Bugatti.

I bet the shop worker rolled eyes at him because they've got another customer with an empty tank, too. Made a fool of himself on the road, in front of his wife, the Porsche dealer, and sane people on the Internet. WIN!

That's obviously a good idea, but the cynic in me thinks that they'd have a hard time explaining to some of their less knowledgable customers what the new software update consists of or what the headlights even do... Matrix what? So you're saying it still won't dodge bullets like Keanu then?
