I'll take 'em for a buck more at $1000.

Will send money after receiving the wheels.

Well a quick search in this forum would tell you they are worth $2,500+. I don't know about arrogant or obnoxious but definitely skeptical when sending $ to someone that listed an add on the internet selling wheels at a steep discount. Get off you high horse use the search button and get what you can for them.

Agree not trying to bust anyone's balls here but if something is worth at the very minimum double the price you're selling there's always the risk of it being too good to be true and usually that is the case. Obviously there are good deals to be had but you could have given your son $2k easily which is double what you're looking for.

I’ve seen crazier deals... hell at my local Porsche dealer, someone left a set of like new (literally <2K miles) 991 GTS wheels they had purchased for $8K+ for the dealer. An employee (my friend) was able to get them for next to nothing.

On the flip side, there are more scams than there are great deals. Pay with a protected method (PayPal G&S) and you’re fine. Do not under any circumstance avoid a small 3% fee and risk losing your money. Cheap a$$ insurance (that 3%).

Not calling the OP a scammer. However, just a note on PayPal

A word to the wise on PayPal - unless something has changed, their guarantee and dispute resolution process is dependent on the seller having the funds in their PayPal account. If you pay them, they drain the funds from PayPal and have a bogus checking account attached to the PayPal account, PayPal will overdraw the PayPal account, the bank won't send the money to PayPal, and PayPal won't reimburse you until the funds clear the bank, which is likely never. Now, if you use your credit card, you can probably file a fraud charge-back with the credit card company, which will go through PayPal, and stick them with the loss. At that point PayPal will suspend your account.

I agree, use PayPal, but also use your credit card when you use PayPal; and just know, if push comes to shove, you might have to sacrifice your PayPal access to get the funds back.

Singlefather96 I can see why you'd be defensive, given the responses, but I'd try to appreciate two things:

1) A shit ton of scammers come through here on a non-stop basis, so when deals seems too good to be true, people get skeptical. It's not actually personal, or an attack on you. Forums tend to be like very messed up families and in a way they are probably just trying to protect each other. Seems like you're going to find a local buyer, which would put to rest any question of legitimacy. Again, it's not an attack on you personally.

2) You're drastically underpricing these wheels. It's not because BMW owners love everything BMW and will pay 5 times what it's worth. It's just that depending on the wheel condition (curb rash) and the tire condition (remaining tread), these usually sell for 2,000-3,000. That's probably 50% of MSRP. If these are in great shape, then you could sell them for $500-$1000 more than you're asking, and it would still be a great price.

It just seems odd you'd find the forum to list them for sale, but wouldn't use the forum to see the multiple listings of the same wheels in the 2-3K range.

Anyways, your wheels, your decision. And no one thinks these wheels are god's gift to man. Just seems like some odd pricing.

Good luck and good health sir!
