Best Dealer for Purchasing Extended Warranty

Hi All,

Close to purchasing a 18 M4 w/ 10K. I have had BMWs in the past and looking to purchase an extended warranty.

I am looking for suggestions on which dealers have provided the best pricing.

Thanks.

Are you looking for third party or BMW backed warranty?

BMW backed warranty. However, I am open to third party warranty. My question is, do they allow you to goto the dealer for warranty work, or do you have to goto their approved vendor for work.

Thanks. How has your experience been with Fidelity? Can you use the dealer, do they send an adjuster out for the warranty work for approval.

Thanks.

Thanks.
They paid 100% of every every claim with one exception, including some at the dealer and some at third party shop. I think they sent an adjuster out just about every claim, which delays things a day or two, but they only denied one claim for a strut, which was included among the warranty exclusions.

Try to ask your local BMW dealership. When I got my M4, dealership offered me BMW blacked warranty or third party company EasyCare. Basically with same coverage but I saved money going with third party company. Any warranty work I can bring it back to my dealership since they work with EasyCare. Hope this help.

Does BMW actually have warranties they underwrite themselves or is everything third party / BMW branded? For example, Audi does not (or at least did not a few years ago) underwrite their own warranties. Audi Pure Protection warranties are (or at least were) underwritten by Fidelity and branded as Audi. Audi has nothing to do with the warranty, other than branding and selling.

Reach out to GOLFFRR at Steve Thomas BMW. Very easy to work with and had a MUCH better price than my local dealer was willing to offer.

Best warranty? CarMax Maxcare hands down. You have to buy the car from CarMax though. (the thought of that hilariously scares some people on here though...( it shouldn't))

My local dealer (BMW of Rockville, MD) gave me -- by a fair margin -- the lowest price on the BMW Platinum 7/100K plan. Ask for Robin Flowers, tell him Dan C. sent you.

They didn't require me to bring the car in, although they have done all of my service so they have seen it before.

It's probably because your car is still under warranty. I was informed only CPOing the car requires inspection....but I don't understand why CPO the car when they can just buy an extended warranty straight out? Unless you need the unlimited mileage.

BMW’s Extended Vehicle Protection is an in house BMW Financial Services thing that is administered by Assurant. Always found that strange that the extended maintenance was BMW NA and EVP’s were BMW FS but, that’s how it is (and CPO is BMW NA of course).

Who is the finance manager at BWM Rockville, I don't see their staff online and they did not answer my request for pricing via web form. I was trying to get local quotes.

Anyone use Michael Jourdan out of New Orleans. I just picked up a 16 F80 and was going to go with him. He sales fidelity warranties and his price is the best I have found so far.

I have an Assurant extended warranty for my pos Chevy SUV. So far it has worked great. It covered engine mounts and some other stuff that I didn't think would be covered. Unfortunately USAA doesn't sell them anymore.
