Fitting 19x9.5 ET25 (275/35/19) fronts to KW Clubsport V3, F82

Hi

I'm currently running 275/35/19 wheels in the front of my F82 M4 on 19x9.5 ET25 wheels. These clear everything just about with a few millimeters to spare. No spacers. These are really illegal where I love, get caught with them and lose your car for a few weeks...

Honestly I have no idea if I could clear the KW Clubsport V3's. They're getting installed next week on my F82 M4(my name isn't up to date anymore )

https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1&postcount=93

This guy runs 18x10's ET25 with 10mm spacers and clears it, with 275/35/18's.
In essence that's only a 3.7mm difference for inner clearance, which isn't a lot, but could be too much...

Anyone running this, or comparable that would make it clear to me?
Would additional camber make it more feasable?

Thanks!

Jacob.

I'm lowered on KW DDC with 19x9et23 with 275/30r19.
You will absolutely rub when you lower the car, I have no idea how you are not rubbing now on the side side front fender liner.

But your tire should clear the spring, if that's what you're asking.

Is DDC comparable to the clubsport? Is the start of the spring/strut/perch(the purple part), sorry I'm not English/American, I use a different terminology

I do not rub at all on the sides... I run Continental Sportcontact 7's. Maybe they are a little less shouldered?

But yes my question was if i would clear the start of the spring and the 'purple thingy'. I have read previously that because of the helper spring, the entire assembly sits a bit lower which causes the rubbing.

I won't lower it a lot, just because of the roads here. The bare minimum on both axles. Hopefully it won't pose a lot of problems.

If you look up and compare pictures of the DDC coils to the Club sport, it seems to me that the CS has superior inner clearance due to a narrower spring.
Someone has jammed 305's in the front of this chassis (insane!!), I'm relatively sure you'll be just fine. Especially if you're on stock suspension now with no rubbing (wider springs than CS) and you aren't planning to slam the car.

Yes, but doesn't the inner clearance get reduced from the CS spring starting at a lower point due to the helper spring?

There really doesn't seem to be any sort of final conclusion as to what is the limit for these coilovers.

Maybe I was misunderstanding what you were talking about. The bottom possible threading for both the KW DDC and KW Clubsport is about at the mounting point for the sway bar end links. Is this what you're talking about?

No I believe the critical part for the CS would be the ‘purple’ part. I don’t seem to find a general consensus for this. Seems like for the CS this part is located lower than in the DDC.

The purple part spins to adjust the height of the coils. I'm a little confused on how it could be lower on the CS than the DDC at the same ride height, given a comparable spring rate and length.
