Gear Box Setting Question
When the gear box setting is set to 2 or 3, do you all feel the jerkyness of the shift specially when your gearing down from 3rd to 2nd and 1st? Does the trottle seem to be sticking at all to you or is that normal? On the 1st level setting the car runs smooth, less jerk and less pedal sticking... Just wanted to make sure it wasnt just me

Many reviews have noted that in setting 3, the DCT is lightning fast at shifting, but at the expense of really brutal and harsh shifts.
I have been behaving myself during the break-in period, so I have not used setting 3. I have experienced some harsh shifts in setting 2, more on the up shift from 1 to 2 under moderate acceleration. |

I learend how to drive a Manual car and it reminds of the first time releasing the clutch fast and the car jerked really bad lol... not sure if I really like the setting since it makes you look like you dont know wtf your doing lol.

there is also a difference whether you use set 3 right after the engine in started (not recommended) or after the oil get its temperature. i also feel jerkyness most when shifting down from 3 do 2.

In my daily driving M1 mode (Efficient/Comfort/Comfort DSC ON & D2 transmission) the car feels like a 440i in terms of comfort but still sharper and tighter. no lurchiness or bs at all with trans/suspension D1 is too soft for me, I forget I'm in a DCT. Just use D1/D2 or manually shift in the 1 or 2 setting around town/with passengers and when you wanna get crazy put everything in the third setting. There's a reason all this is so adjustable, definitely don't drive in bumper to bumper traffic or with passengers at low speeds in D3, the lurchiness and downshifting literally feels like something is breaking lol. |

Mine in D2 between the 3-2 shift can be jerky. I had an instance where I was coasting down to a red light and it turned green. I gave the car some gas (we're not talking a granny amount of gas or a race car amount of gas pedal) and the car felt like it tried to kill itself. I brought it to the dealership and, of course, it won't replicate.
It reminded me of being at speed in an automatic, putting it in neutral, revving the engine and trying to put it back in gear - (i was stupid and it was my first car). lol. |

In D2, I can feel the jerkiness almost every time from gear 1 to 2 if not being very careful with throttle, (more likely to happen when car is cold). I have to up-shift manually very early around 2k rpm to avoid this.
