rumor has it that the M5 CB option is $8700, so expect about the same for M3, maybe a bit less

Ouch. Well the real question is expected life on carbon rotors. If they cost 4 times as much but last 4 times as long I am ok with that. Truthfully at only 5-6 track days a year, and my lack of driving skill, it is lost on me. Also I assume the pads are completely different for the different rotor surface material, so I would again assume pads are probably very expensive also. Those calipers are massive though. For the bling factor I would rather have those instead of the 4 piston smaller calipers we have seen in other photos.

Ah, I stand corrected. Thank you.

Just because BMW engineers can't figure it out doesn't mean it's an inherent flaw.

Turbo is the way to go. Unless you're Ferrari or Porsche, all sports cars are going forced induction.
Ferrari is going with turbo's in F1 (so is everyone else) in 2014

Yeah, I wish they had chosen silver/gray. The gold looks very tacky.

I'd be getting the M4 anyways, and I'll probably wait for its LCI. A lot of things happening from now until then...
ITS THE THICK HOOD LINE!!! AHHHHHHH!!
Its anti-BMW traditionnal/typical styling .

I don't think so. Look at Audi and Lexus, they don't have that problem.

The Toyota GT86 on the other hand does. Same about the new Maserati Quattroporte.

By the way it looks like new X5 F15 will be good again.

Hopefully BMW goes back to such hoods that join the kidney grill, but unfortunately it won't happen to the 2Sereis/M2 and 4 Series/M4 anymore. I guess the next one will be the new 7 Series.

I wish they built the M3 Touring. It would be my dream car.

I cannot really understand why they need one more year to launch the new M3 and even more for M4...

Sure it's a mistake. Because now everybody is going to wait for the M4. I think M3 is pointless, if there'll be an even more beautiful M4 with 4 doors.
