Masterblaster Revolution vs sidekick

Hi,

So I've been using the metrovac sidekick for a few years now and while I love it I'm curious how much better the revolution is. I still use drying towels when I do a quick wash because it's faster but I'm wondering for those who have had both, is the revolution that much faster for drying your car than the sidekick is?

Thanks

I have both the Sidekick and the original Master Blaster and while the Master Blaster is definitely more powerful I found that unless the car is freshly waxed or coated it still takes a long time to dry the car. I ended switching back to drying towels. The Master Blaster was probably one of my most regrettable detailing purchases.

I still use the Sidekick for drying my wheels which works fantastic.

This is super helpful. Pretty much decided against it as you've just confirmed my suspicion. On my m3 which is ceramic coated I use the sidekick and it's great on the 666m wheels but takes a while with the paint. On our other car which has no coating it takes a while. Will just use the griot towel on it which takes under a minute for the whole car.

I have the Revolution and although it is strong, I find myself chasing water in circles and it doesn't really blow off as easily as they make it seem.

I have been using it as a pre-clean blow out for interior dust and carpets. It works really well for that. If you're going to be investing $4-500 on something, I'd put it toward a DI rinse setup and cut out the drying all together.

I have a CR Spotless and find myself not needing to use the Revolution most of the time, just to clear out problem water areas.

My car is ceramic coated and I use this to blow dry my car, before using drying towels to get whatever is left. It takes me maybe 10 minutes to get the car dry and another 10 to get the smaller spots I miss.
