Nexen Winguard Sport 2 Winter Tire Review $444 for (4) tires
Wanted to do a quick review for my fellow midwest / northern state friends who might be looking for a cheap winter tire setup on stock 19" wheels. Tire rack recommended a square setup for my 2018 M3 even with the staggered OEM wheels.
I purchased (4)-255/35R19 Nexen Winguard Sport 2 96V XL Winter Tires from ebay for $444 and had them mounted and balanced locally for $100. So all in the setup was $544 which I think is a killer deal. We have had three or four significant snow storms already here in Missouri and these tires have performed very well. This is my daily driver and I was able to get around with no slippage or drama at all. I have driven in extremely slick conditions and never felt like I was in any danger; the car just had solid grip. I know this is a dedicated winter tire and that is what they are supposed to do but I am still pretty amazed at how well this car can perform in winter conditions with the right tire. Hope this helps any other budget minded M3 daily driver |

I also had no issue, they are just a tight fit and can be a pain. I had the dealer install mine.

Just the rears are an issue then because of the stretch from 255 to a 275 capable rim ?
I'm just wondering if anyone has done a square 18" set up with higher profile, like 255x45x18 for example. Maybe no-one in here but does anyone recall seeing anyone do this, do they clear the rotors for example (non CCB).

Dealer made me sign a service order saying "255/35r19 is not the recommended rear tire size" but still put them on. If my car falls apart I guess I shouldnt trust the internet as much
