Replaced the stock paddle shifters with longer aluminum paddle shifters from Kies Motorsports. Build quality is excellent but the additional length doesn’t do much because the stock plastic mounts that attach to the steering wheel are somewhat flimsy. When you try to tap the shifter near the top of the paddle, the shifter twists and doesn’t make contact with the spring mechanism. You really need to shift by pressing the center of the paddle, but it’s still nicer and looks great.

Replaced rear coilovers with stock so I can send all 4 Tractive coilovers for a maintenance service.

Also tried to replace rear pads but failed on the right side as the pins are totally shot, ordered new pins.

And gave the wheel arches a good scrub & a wash. Lots of tyre on them.

Remeber having a nightmare of a time with the pins on my old c63 front caliper. Ended up having to cut and drill it out.

Installed my new vrsf single mid pipe, now it's paired to my mpe and vrsf catless downpipes. Sounds awesome! It was definitely nerve racking cutting my mpe midpipe though.

Cars still in winter mode too, hopefully only a couple more weeks!

I figured when I was walking around the McLaren/Aston/Lambo dealer last weekend and didn't see a single car with tires that were wider than 305, that was a good indication it might be wide enough!
Looks nice! Are you at stock height?

Yes, stock at the moment. Debating if I want to go with an M Performance HAS kit or a KW DDC kit. One of those will be installed by the time the snow melts and I get it back on the road for summer.

I thought it was going to be a nightmare so called my mate instead who took them out in a few minutes. He didn't use a drill, he basically used a tiny chisel, light tapping and lots of wd40, he was using the "chisel" very gently to basically get the wd40 all around the pins and with minimal power but lots of quick movement he managed to get them out flawleslly. He'd done it before on the same calipers.

Guy is insane, he is the only 22 year old lad that I actualy hang out with. I'm 40 this year.

He is the electrician in our business but a huge car enthusiast.

He is now building a very unique E34 with an F80 engine on his own.

Crisis averted.

It seems the pins had been shot for a while and that is why that side was squealing. I changed the brake pads because of that noise but when I took them off they were worn but still had a few months of life in them. The seized pin also destroyed the lamination on the disc so changed both discs in the end as well.

Note to self: next time you hear brake squeal it might just be the pins instead of the pads.

Should you not be running 275/35 up front? Tires look pretty small

Failed NY state inspection today due to emissions. I had flashed back to stock from my bootmod3 tune yesterday but I didn’t drive enough miles.

Had to swap back to the stock oil filter cap as the BMS was making contact with the charge coolant hoses after the huge CSF went in.

The MAF sensor placement on the Burger intake would drive me nuts. You couldn't feed it through another way?

Haha yeah it looks pretty dumb, maybe if I tied it down to something but then I'd have to cut the tie everytime.

Doesn't bother me anymore so I've just left it
