My OEM passenger side intake box never fully seats with the inlet passageway. Is this a problem?

There is a round grommet under the box that has to sit flush with the frame or you might have this gap! Easy fix!

I believe everything is seated properly.

Are you missing the rubber piece that is supposed to slip on the top of the air tube?

Not sure I know what you're talking about.

The intake box will flap around and not seat correctly if you don't have the square rubber thing that fits on top of the ram air tube.

Perhaps the rubber mounting under the airbox isn't aligned correctly?... the plastic clip circled in the pic should go over the chassis rail.

Thanks for your reply.

Hard to see in my picture below, but that clip is seated correctly, and yet to its left, you'll see that the proper connection between the two parts is not made.

I guess the bigger question is: Is it a big deal, I.e., insufficient air getting sucked in, or can I just leave it like this.

Not at all! You should consider intakes, not because of the HP gains, but the sound of the turbos are glorious - kid factor!

Yea, I honestly noticed no difference in sound with the BMC drop-ins.

To be fair, I already had the charcoals out for a while, which may have resulted in more of a sound difference.

I did the BMC and removed the charcoals and no difference, either, but the intakes were worth every penny. I will likely sell my new BMCs soon! Even with the windows rolled up, the sound is delicious!
