BimmerLink - wheel speed sensor

Hi,

Is there any chance to read each Wheel Speed Sensor using bimmerlink?
if not BimmerLink any other software I could use with iPhone?

I'm just looking to find a solution for Transmission overheat error, although transmission oil temp has proper temp according to bimmerlink at 80-82"C

more info here: https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...5&postcount=25

thanks

MHD has an excellent scan function, and I've heard good things about ProTools as well. What are the specific errors you're getting?

WSS usually throws some type of traction alert. They're pretty easy to look at if you get the wheels off.

I want to diagnose what happens with my car why it throws transmission overheat error although sensor gives only 80"C - 85"C max. I have no clutch slip, no other issues. Car drives normally although from time to time I get this error.

I read that on e92 wheel speed sensor / abs sensor could give such error but my mechanic today told me for F8X platform its different error if abs sensor fails.

I already made an appointment for this week so we go for a drive and run some diagnostics.

Hey Jim, did you ever diagnose the transmission overheating issue? I'm dealing with the same issue currently and it's also ready the correct oil temps according to BimmerLink

Hi Vic,

yes I fixed it. if you have the same error and same symptoms I do not have any good news for you. You need to replace RPM and temperature sensor, part # 28107842851

You can diagnose it with ISTA and read temp on all three sensors and this one exactly will show odd temperatures. To fix it you need to drop down your gearbox to get to this sensor. Gearbox Oil , oil filter, seals all need to be replaced once the gearbox is dissembled from the car.

Since repair I did 2000km +++ , put Bm3 stage 1, chasing 100-200 times to break 7sec and no issues with temp sensor. Now I have different issues
