Stretch marks inside the headlights?

My headlights have some marks inside them and you can only see them when the headlight is turned on. When it's off you can't tell they're there.

Is this normal?

I feel like these are impacting the light output, the beam always looks like the headlight is wet, like it's not uniform. I couldn't figure out what was wrong, thought maybe it was normal, until I noticed these marks.

Driven somewhere cold with precip? That pattern is from the headlamp fans running in ice mode.

It's been raining a lot but temperature hasn't dropped below 10ºC (50ºF).

Update 2: They fucked it up. See below.

The headlights are a sealed unit, it looks like they tried to replace just the lens. Take it back.

They told me they can't do anything because this is a new unit right from the factory. Clearly it's a reconditioned unit because it has a lot of crap in it.

Looking at this post and your other post, you're having all kind of bad luck with your car. No wonder you hate the BMW brand. I don't blame you.

I regret ever stepping foot inside that dealership. The car is in much worse state than before. But if you trust your dealership then definitely do it while in warranty.

I'd raise a complaint with BMW's upper division. I did it with BMW NA and they resolved my paint issue by replacing the entire car.

When I get home I use the welcome home feature or whatever it's called to light my garage for 2-3 minutes every night. So yes, I look at them.

Update: I left the car there today again for them to check my complaints. Dude is treating me like an enemy, as if it's my fault everything that's happening. Told me several times they are brand new so it's unlikely BMW will send a replacement. Made blind eyes pretending there was nothing wrong with them. I bet I'm not going to like their final verdict.

They gave you a new M3 because of the paint?
