Do you have any more information about it? Because I'm not buying it. How much processing power can you have in an Ipad -size device? not much, and keyfob signals are encrypted. This discussion has been going on for years, but still our cars don't get stolen. If it was so easy, luxury cars would be stolen all the time. Once a year there's a bmw/merc stolen and a video emerges, but without proving anything.
Now, I'm not questioning your words, just the general idea...

Here in the U.S., luxury cars aren't stolen very easily at all. It's just not a phenomenon that we really deal with. Vandalized yes, but hacked and stolen, naw. If one is stolen here, it's typically by somebody who had the key or somebody who loaded it up on a flatbed.
