Intercooler for m2c

Hello,
I'm looking for some new parts for my m2c. Stage1 soon, so I need to invest into cooling. From what I've gathered, my decision came down to two companies:

- Mishimoto
- Wagner Tuning

Now, which intercooler is the better option!?
I'm also looking to upgrade my charge-pipes. So might as well help me decide with that again ... Mishimoto or wagner tuning charge pipes? I live in EU

thx in advance for the answear

I'd get Mishimoto. Lifetime warranty, great fitment and real posted data on their products. Great price point as well. I'd upgrade the heat exchanger before the top mount intercooler, unless the oem one is leaking already.

That's exactly what I did, the best bang for your buck is the HX.

I just ordered a Wagner ic. Tbh this is the part I willing to spend extra. Xph gave me a good price, you can ask them

I also have forge top mount ic on my m4. Works perfect for me but they discontinued this ic on USA market. EU can still buy it

I'm starting with charge-pipes so might as well do the intercooler

Mishimoto looks great. But so does Wagner.
Anyone has tried both?

Do the charge pipes but don't touch the top cooler unless/ until it leaks, it's a downgrade in most cases. Like CT92F80 said, do the heat exchanger if you really feel like you need to upgrade anything. You don't live in a hot climate, the cooling on the S55 is pretty stout, spend your money elsewhere for initial mods.

It doesn't leak so far but cooling is important to me. HE is next or ... maybe I'll do it all with top-mount IC.

Hmmm ... just noticed that mishimoto is almost half the price of Wagner parts.
Wagner HE is like ... the price of mishimoto intercooler alone.

Does anyone have the whole mishimoto cooling pack installed? How do you like it? quality? results? is Wagner worth the extra $$?

I still don't understand why you want to downgrade the top mount when the rest of the car is stock

Wagner is the best but can be too tight and require trimming hood metal on the M2C. Their cooling kit is the best by far…but is it worth several $K?

Mishi looks-works-fits good and has a nice price. They have a kit too.

Why the need to upgrade? I was at the drags last night and my stock TMIC stayed cold the whole time.

Trust me when I say stay away from both VRSF and CSF intercoolers. Nothing but drama, broken promises, and piss poor results.

Yeah gotta emphasize Kilabyte here - stock cooling is immense. Even in CA summers and beating on hot track days it has no issues. Maybe if you want to run a bunch more power then I'd probably look at the HE first. TMIC is bling - but if you want to go all out you can look at the C&R TMIC that Bimmerworld sells. You'll give an arm and a couple toes for it though.

If you are just running on the street the stock one is pretty good. But if you are on the track the Wagner is great. I have 6 track days on mine its a noticeable difference 12-15 deg.

Skip the TMIC. Go for a heat exchanger (I like Dinan) and get some Red Line Waterwetter. I've used waterwetter on sport bikes where I was constantly running up to 14,000+ RPM on hot track days without issue. You'll have zero cooling issues with this combo.
