Fair, it is not an official quote from BMW. However, I don't believe any magazine have tested the car yet, so where does number come from if it's not from the BMW press release kit?

I can't stop looking at these pics!! these cars are going to be insane. I can't even start to imagine after some modding what they will look like

But I think it's pretty obvious that the majority of the people like the M3 more. It's gorgeous and in terms of pure performance, it'll own our E9x's.

I cant believe that I am going to have this M4! This is probably the exact combo that I am going to order too. AY, Full Black Leather, Black/Polished rims (which by the way, I think are a really cool and different accent!).
The only thing is I would like to see more interior pics of the seats (Front and Back) as well as the trims. That trim in the M4 under the CF looks like black chrome or maybe piano or tinted aluminum? Also, I want to see the other interior colors! I guess that ///M stripe on the roof didnt make it to production. That sucks! I also thought that was a really cool touch. I would have rather had that on the roof and a simple "Vader" ///M stripe on the seats than that M badge they currently show on the seats.

Wow, I'm definitely impressed with the exterior and interior of the Yas Marina M3. I can't even imagine what a fully loaded sans the ceramic brakes will cost here in Canada since the e92 was at 89k plus ridiculous taxes.
I went through 2 e92 335s and longed for the naturally aspirated cars of the past hence picked up the m3 & love every part of this V8. Especially love that I have to think when I drive the current M3 - liking having to know which gear I'm in when I punch the gas since there's hardly anything below 5k rpm in high gear etc. Nevertheless after seeing this video & pics, I'm smitten. The size of the car reminds me of my old e39 but I'm hoping the M engineers were able to make this car drive like the current car in some respect... more of a linear power delivery etc. Not sure if it's possible with turbos? Nway, can't wait to read all the reviews from fellow members and journalists like Chris Harris who used to own the e92 and Steve Scutliffe.

BMW M always keeps the current M3 slower than the current M5. So the DCT F80/82 will probably be .2 slower than the F10 M5 to 100 km/h , that puts the E90/92 M3 maybe .2 sec at most slower than the F80/82. |

It does kind of look japanese with all of the wild and busy styling
I like that it's wider and lower, rear end looks better. I can't get over the hood shape. Meh, it will probably grow on me. Would like to see the M4 in black instead of the puke yellow |

Finally, BMW kind of woke up and went back to the E46 M3-kind of way of doing an M3 (and M4): performance with a bunch of styling and color.
Observations: - interior photos show some kind of step up from Extended but less than Full Leather, as the bottom of the doors, most center console and some parts of the under dash are still plastic. Much, much nicer than any M3 before but somewhat still artificially restricted for no business reason. Hopefully this is the new Extended Leather option and the real Full Leather will be available. - Seats looks much better than the E9x M3, but they also look as the base sport seats without thigh support. So this opens the door to a full blown ZCP with real goodies other than different wheels and EDC. In other words, forget about the days of the $2500 ZCP package. This could be $3500 and up... - This M3/M4 must have CCB. The standard F30/F32 M-Sport calipers (with M floting rotors) in this car are unbecoming. - The rear bumper is busy-looking. I would guess that the first mod would be at least painting the diffuser. JC Whitney called and they want their muffler tips back, by the way. - Front bumper is nice. That's all. - These 2 colors (blue and yellow) are not that great looking, IMO. - Wheels look great. Black wheels is a fad that must die. - Engine room looks impressive with that CF brace. But when a brace looks more interesting than the engine cover then that means that something is wrong. - Like the 405lbs.ft of torque, kind of disappointed in the 430hp. But again, that will be fixed by the ZCP. Overall, I'm getting an LCI M3. It will be expensive, but f**k it... I like it. |
