I think your best option would be looking into buying a GTS/CS hood or an aftermarket equivalent? |

There are a few options out there including Suvneer (https://www.suvneermotorsports.com/c...minum-gts-hood) and RW Carbon (https://www.********.com/bmw-f80-m3-...tyle-hood.html) to name a couple.

I had a mate of mine that specialises in these tyres of things and he reckon
He can do it if I can find that plastic piece As for me I was thinking the same as you I’ve never thought twice about doing something like this but he convinced me it can be done for 3-4 times less then the prices for an oem gts hood As much as I loved the gts hood I can’t see myself paying that much for it As for aftermarket I’ve found some for like 1/3 of the price but it’s the fitment that I’m worried about Thanks for the info it was very helpful |

If your mate is truly the picasso of bondo, wouldn't it be easier for him to work on getting an aftermarket GTS hood to fit like OEM versus hulk smashing your OEM one?

Shipping a GTS hood to AUS could be costly. Better off having your mate do it!! |

Hi, I’m looking at the hood option also and as far as I know the fitment will have some larger gaps. Spoke to a few people and most of them are saying that bigger gaps are inevitable. I’m seriously thinking about the oem hood but it cost around 9-10k aud. Spraying and fitting would be another 1k.
Would anyone buy or sell a used hood? |
