Not sure if this is allowed, but I have an M2C Equal Length Resonated Midpipe for sell that’s never been used. AA sent me the wrong on by accident and for some reason sent them back to house. So let me know if anybody is interested

Just installed my non-resonated midpipe today.

OEM downpipes.
Base rear muffler.

Anyone else notice a good amount of increase in drone? The car sounds really good and I love it, but was surprised at the drone increase.

Valves closed (efficient/sport/sport+)? No

Valves overridden to be open all the time? Yes, specifically below and up to 3k - it's a straight pipe from the cat back so it is expected

Yep exactly. I should have clarified. Valves closed none. I have BM3 configured to have valves fully opened in sport/sport plus, so just figured I would check if that was to be expected.

I wonder if it would help a bit by disabling active sound? Meaning the unnecessary noise...

I just added the AA EL Non-res paired with a AA Madd Maxx valves rear... sounds amazing! Also disabled ASD with BimmerCode. I'll get sounds clips up ASAP!

2 - Are most people disabling active sound inside the car after installing? I have stock DP and stock muffler, and while the sound outside of the car is amazing as everyone reports, I'm kinda surprised that inside the car doesn't sound much different to me than before. I've only taken one drive at this point, so I'm sure it needs to break in, but wondering if anyone else feels the same way, and whether disabling the active sound module will make much of a difference.
Mine are all dripping as well.
Same. I will continue to play with the clamps in hope of an improvement. Considering the rear clamps are also dripping, I'm thinking it may just be that way for most installations.

For those of you that had the rattle after getting your resonated pipes installed, was it indeed because the prior exhaust gaskets were not on there? Or just a issue with the pipes resting on the brace? I ordered some exhaust gaskets and I’m going back to the shop in a two weeks.

Following up, I've continued to adjust the clamps and now I only have a drip from 1 out of the 4. So it is just a trial and error thing I guess, trying to get the right angle and torque on them.

I also unplugged active sound this weekend and I like it a lot better now

In my case, it was the exhaust touching other car components once the car was running. We adjusted the install and now it's running without any issues.

It's a very tight clearance, take the time to adjust it perfectly, and once you do you won't have any issues either.

I ended up rotating the gap in the clamp slightly towards the female pipe, it ended up improving the seal.I'm confused on how the rear clamps are dripping. I cleaned the edges up well. Guess I will have to open them up, clean them again and reset.

Hi guys. Did someone already run resonated Downpipes + resonated Mid pipe + ZCP Muffler ?

I will replace the downpipes later but for the beginning this would be my setup. If someone do so, is there any soundclip available.

Sorry but tbh i dont want to check all 90 pages if someone hit up already a soundclip.

A link or number of the post would be helpfull. Thanks in advance

For those of you who have the non-resonated EL midpipes with stock muffler installed, AND have ASD still active, does it change the sound of the exhaust inside the cabin?

I have an M2C and - to test for the same scenario - uninstalled my ASD bypass for a short time after installing the EL mid. Valves closed the ASD seemed unchanged. It still drowned out the actual exhaust sound - which makes sense because, with ASD disabled, the exhaust sound is still barely noticeable inside the car with windows up. Valves open it became more a combination of the 2, as the exhaust sound is definitely louder with the EL and can be heard inside the car. One difference with ASD was that the ASD gets louder in Sport+ vs Sport. The other difference is that with ASD on, I did not get to hear the true quality of the now great sound under WOT with valves open. I re-installed the ASD bypass harness and don't anticipate going back to ASD. Hope that helps.
