MPE decat

Hi All,

Was wondering if anyone has gone any further with the MPE and decatted or piped? If so do you have any videos?

Love the sound of my MPE, and fuck me it's loud but just wondering if taking it further ruins it or gives it a better note.

From what I've heard, mpe sounds best paired with fabspeed cat bypass pipe. Mates up perfectly too.

Not the full mid section. Fabspeed bypass pipe only goes past the secondary cats, and mates to full MPE. That's why it's a popular option for MPE cars.

Can you post the video of the MPE with downpipes? I thought I heard downpipes make it sound like shit. Hope that's not true!

I actually have catless downpipe with stock mids and MPE exhaust.
I actually love them and it souds incredible. When the valves are closed, they are no different from stock!

I have a 2016 M4 Civic with MPE and catless ER downpipes and stock mids.

Definetly way louder than stock but the sound quality is hit and miss. At times it sounds raspy and tinny.

Other timed it sounds hollow, full and deep, I think some sort of midpipe would solve everything.

Also to note, the MPE has a great pitch from about 6k rpm to redline where it sounds glorious.

All in all i haven't heard too many other setups in person so can't help you there but what I do know is videos don't do the MPE any justice with catless DPs, it is a very loud and very distinct sound and in between busy roads where you get sound amplification it sounds monstrous.

The worst sound with MPE is when you travel beside another car, you get this raspy and quite frankly terrible sound. I would recommend showing the dude driving beside you the tail lights in this case, Also don't travel beside highway medians it's going to sound like shit.

I have 2018 M3 with Catless Downpipe and MPE exhaust with Stock Midpipe. I was thinking about adding 2 small vibrant resonators to the Midpipe to reduce Rasp and deepen the tone.

Is this like a resonance starting at 1,700 rpm to about 2k when on full throttle. As I have this issue with mpe and secondary car delete. Other than that I love it
