According to the calculator I will be 10mm more inboard & 16mm further outboard than the stock setup which should be ok.

I guess a big advantage of 37 is you can easily add spacers to get to 33 or anything else

By my calculations I figured the fender was right at the edge of the tire.i have to run stock camber by the rules that I will be competing under to stay in the stock class.

I guess it depends where you want the clearance. The 37 offset will have the wheel 4mm more inward relative to the 33 offset.

37 offset on an 11" wheel will push the outer face of the wheel 15.7mm further out and the inner lip will be pushed 9.7mm further inward. It all depends is 9.7mm is sufficient to clear the strut.

But at least adjusting the inner clearance using spacers is an option if needed.

Finally my track wheels are completed, tested and approved; should have them next week

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...1&postcount=43

If my scale is remotely accurate the wheels are 25.5 and 26 lbs., they feel quite light without the tires Lug nuts and spacers are also included in case they are needed, which I hope I won't based on positive tests with the PSI M4. And I am beyond glad to getting back to a normal size torque wrench after the monstrous one we had to use with the stupid center lock wheels

Tires also arrived, final test fitment was supposed to be this weekend, but f****ng snow and ice are on their way, so it will be next week. R888s in 295/30 fronts and 325/30 rears. Very hopeful there won't be fitment issues.

Thank you. Frankly the look of the wheels is meh, but that was not even in the priority list They are very good wheels from their construction, maintenance and the extra work of shot peening set them apart and they have really great customer service.

No coilovers for me for now. I am waiting for new adaptive shocks to become available with improved reaction to see if they will be worth switching; otherwise Swift springs should do fine for now.

I have decided to go with Forgestar wheels in 19X9.5..22 offset & 19X 11..36 offset, 275/30/F ...305/30/R...AD08R's
This set up is within 3% or better of original diameter of stock...will see once WG opens.

I have the Forgestar's on order for the M but I have always been somewhat aggressive on my wheel choices for my track cars. Here is a picture of my 86 Mustang 5.0 with 16 x 9 Simmons wheels with Yokohoma 008R's in 245/45 16 which was considered huge for the time!

Sorry I should have read your previous post where you stated the sizes.

I rejected the 19X 295/30 for the 305 because of the diameter.
295 was 26/ 305 was 26.3...I thought that would be closer to the stock 26.6

It's all a crap shoot anyway

I'm just waiting for this snow to go away & some above 32* temps

I know I am about 2% shorter than stock which should be OK and besides 2% shorter will help with gearing

With this winter I had to watch one of my videos from WGI and I thought I should share it once again. My E92 had a Stoptech BBK and I was running a square 275/35 18 Nt05 on 18 x10 Apex setup.I got blackflagged for my student having a hand held camera.

The S55 churns out a constant 425hp from 70mph all the way to top speed. I wonder how much could be gained from changing the overall gearing?

Probably not as much as an S65 would have benefited from tighter gearing. In Quebec studded Ice racing in a Lotus Cortina we use to run a 5.5 diff with a non overdrive 4 speed.I like lots of gearing

Has anyone considered Volk te37's or te37sl's? I'm curious if they come in the right sizes for a staggered or even square 18" setup yet.

Edit: It doesn't look like these currently come in the correct sizes/offsets to put together a good track set.

Perhaps Apex EC-7 square is the best option for now - 18x10ET25 275/35R18. Has anyone purchased this setup yet?
