First time switch to SRF

I plan on changing my brake fluid from OEM to SRF in the next week before my first track day early next month.

Initially I was planning to use a brake bleeder and 2 bottles of SRF to flush the system. I was told that the ABS unit has some fluid in there and requires a specific procedure to flush out. Since this is the first time and I'm switching to Dot 5, I wanted to make sure to flush the system including the ABS.

Does anyone know of a way to do this without taking it to the dealer? I imagine after the first time I would be able to just bleed the fluid without worrying about the ABS. Thanks in advance.

You need ISTA and have to run the brake bleed procedure

I bought a foxwell OBD2 scanner just to do the ABS flushing. It was about $100 on amazon - I think it's well worth the price given all the other functions that the scanner has...

Thanks for the info. I would much rather save the money spent to dealer and spend it on a scanner. Which one do you have?

just checked my amazon history - the one I bought is FOXWELL NT530 for BMW Multi-System OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner Read Erase Error Codes I THINK a cheaper model can also get the job done, but you might want to double check.
