I have it, and it’s great. With valves closed, it’s stock-like volume with a better tone. In sport/+ it sounds much more aggressive without being overdone for a street car. Either way, AWE makes great quality products, and you won’t regret it.

I originally had the track exhaust and had to get the conversion because it was too loud to be driving a baby around town with straight pipes.

I also have catless downpipes, so running the stock downpipes will make your setup much more subdued volume wise.

thank you for the reply. I looked at almost every single videos on YouTube and sound is not justified through a video.

do you have any clips of your set up with the downpipes?

I have the resonated switchpath. The sound is growing on me but I’m thinking I may want a more aggressive sound. You guys know the difference between the resonated and non resonated?

the videos that I have watched on YouTube shows the difference but i am 100% sure that it sounds a lot better in person.
one of the vendor here mentioned that the non resonated sounds raspier and about 30% louder. I am not sure how it sounds in person. I wish I could hear the difference.

anyone in the northeast that has the awe switchpath?

I've had mine for years now and wouldn't change it for the world. Couldn't be happier--it may have actually gotten better with age. The YouTube videos don't really do it justice. As one example, it's got a much deeper/throatier idle than you'd realize based on the YT clips. And the "kids" love it too...I have yet to do a track/autocross day where I don't come back from a break to find someone crawling around under the back of the car to try to figure out which exhaust it is.

If you like things LOUD and happen to have a valve controller, let it do a cold start with the valves open. Just make sure it's not early in the morning...

If you’re doing the install yourself, just make sure you open the valves and unplug them while they’re open before you start the install. It’ll make things go a lot smoother.

Get the canflap.
I open it when I’m alone to be rowdy .
And shut them when I have the lady in the ride.

I am hoping I dont regret it. I hear great things about awe.
I never knew canflaps existed. Thanks for the tips.

about installing it with the flaps open...

I should start my car open the valve and disconnect the plugs?
how is this going to help me? I am replacing the entire exhaust. I thought the switchpath was just a plug and play thing.

Yeah, there's a note in the install instructions about making sure the valves are open when you take the old exhaust off. Make sure to do that. Can't remember for sure, but I thought the valves needed to be open in order to get things to line up correctly with the valve actuators or something like that???

The orientation of the valves on the switchpath exhaust require the flap motors to be in the Open position for installation. Start the car, open the valves, unplug the valves (so they stay open), swap to other exhaust.

So I bough the same set last year, I love it. Very nice sounding exhaust. Only complain I have is their tips. I have the diamond black. I never used chemicals on it but they started fading couple months in. So just keep this in mind.

Issues? It’s just a one time thing for the install so the pin and the valve slots line up.

Oh what I meant to say was the issues with the crank hub. I did not want to take to risk of flashing my ecu and not being able to get warranty.

Installing shouldn't be an issue. sorry for not being clear.

Also the tips do loosen up after a while so have them tighten up every time you get an oil change.
