DCT Gear Shifter Sticker Cracked

Anyone know where I can get a replacement DCT gear shifter sticker from? Is this something covered under warranty? I noticed today it was cracked, but not sure how/when it happened. I'd appreciate anyone's input. Thanks!

Mine cracks even worse and my dealership wouldn't fix it under warranty.

I also did some research and it seems like the only way is to replace the whole shift knob.

I feel like this should be covered under warranty, just like the front seat "M3" emblems on 2015-2017 models, which I heard are prone to cracking. Seems like I'm not the only one experiencing this issue with the gear shift sticker.

I would raise hell until they agreed to cover it under warranty. That being said, you could ask them to reimburse or contribute to an upgraded MP CF.

It’s unfortunate that this is a situation where the cost of the part doesn’t compare favourably to the labour involved in sending you a spare. I have one that I removed from my DCT shifter when I installed the carbon trim, but what’s it worth? Maybe five bucks? Shipping would cost more from Italy and the time it would take to do all the forms isn’t worth it. Sadly, since it cannot be purchased individually, if you can’t get it warrantied then you should just upgrade to the carbon trim. It includes a new illuminated piece.

Last time I checked with the dealership they said not cover under warranty unless the gear shift stops working. More or less they said the issue was wear and tear and wouldn't be covered.

Yours looks like it has the plastic film from factory still on it?

seen it happen quite a bit... normally from heat/cold or someone wearing a ring that chips it and starts a crack. You have to replace the whole knob.....

Buy the CF knob, and sell the CF. That’s the only option I can think of.

Not exactly the same, but both of my F3x cars, and now my F80 had enough wear on a couple of the macro buttons (the black "preset" buttons labeled 1-8), that light would shine through from behind at night. Not an actual crack, but wear on the paint/plastic. These are the buttons I use most. When I asked if they could replace the faceplate, they told me they could, but wouldn't be covered under warranty.

Also, just but the CF knob and surround trim from iND. Looks so much better anyways

I had an extra one that was brand new, sold it and then mine cracked. Smh.
